We have recently returned from a weeks stay at Ashfield House. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Pickering then look no further. It is delightful. Forget overpriced hotels with little character and lacking in personal service. Arrive at Ashfield House and you will be treated as a valued customer. On booking Debbie asked if either of us had any dietary requirements. I was delighted to be asked as I am lactose intolerant. Debbie provided a thermos jug of lactose free milk in the room every day and lactose free yogurts were put out at breakfast every morning. A wide choice of great quality food was available at breakfast. The eggs couldn't be fresher as they come from her own hens. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed with its clean and bright en suite. There is a lounge and conservatory for guests with lovely views of the garden. The property is a gentle 12 minute walk into the centre of Pickering. Would we return? Absolutely yes. Thank you Debbie.
