This is a late review and we can only apologise. What an incredible place, the hosts were perfect, so welcoming yet not over the top. Breakfast was first class with a great choice and the room was beautiful. The location is great to explore so much of Yorkshire yet there are a number of lovely pubs and restaurants locally. They are doing a great job here and you should not think twice about staying here, simply brilliant.

This is a modern house in the suburbs of Pickering. It is an easy 5 or 10 minute walk into the town. Our sizeable room was very comfortable and we slept well. An excellent full English breakfast was served in a lovely, spacious sunroom looking out into the garden. It was nice to watch the colourful small birds pecking at the feeders outside whilst we ate our breakfast. Our hostess was friendly and helpful.

We have recently returned from a weeks stay at Ashfield House. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Pickering then look no further. It is delightful. Forget overpriced hotels with little character and lacking in personal service. Arrive at Ashfield House and you will be treated as a valued customer. On booking Debbie asked if either of us had any dietary requirements. I was delighted to be asked as I am lactose intolerant. Debbie provided a thermos jug of lactose free milk in the room every day and lactose free yogurts were put out at breakfast every morning. A wide choice of great quality food was available at breakfast. The eggs couldn't be fresher as they come from her own hens. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed with its clean and bright en suite. There is a lounge and conservatory for guests with lovely views of the garden. The property is a gentle 12 minute walk into the centre of Pickering. Would we return? Absolutely yes. Thank you Debbie.

I would like to firstly thanks Debbie for being such a fabulous hostess everything was superb. The house is beautiful in a lovely setting the photos don't do it justice. The room (we stayed on costal) was spotless and more than we could of hoped for with special extras like homemade chocolates and lemon cake. Breakfast well what can I say there is plenty and its to a very high standard. We had a great break and the location was great walking distance to Pickering. Many thanks Debbie and good look in the future.

This is our first visit to this wonderful B&B. We were warmly met by Debbie and shown round the beautiful house. Our room had everything we needed and more. Lovely and comfortable. Good selection of beverages and proper milk too, much appreciated by hubby as he loathes the uht milk! Lovely toiletries, really no need to bring your own. The guest lounge and conservatory is amazing. Totally felt at home here nothing too much trouble for Debbie. The breakfast is to die for. I can totally see why Ashfield house is No1 on trip advisor. Best wishes for the future. Xx. Elaine & Duncan
