We stayed at Lowther House and tea room for the war weekend in Pickering. We was so lucky to have found this place at such short notice . It is so lovely, a little gem. We arrived Friday evening , and was greeted by the hosts Helen and John. lovely couple. We was shown to our room. It was so nice and they have thought of everything . The bed was so comfy, the bedding clean and fresh, towels thick white and fluffy. They really do spoil you. There was home made cake for us. Short bread biscuits. yum yum! There is also a small fridge in your room, and they leave fresh milk and water for you. In our room we would lay in bed in the morning and watch the steam train go by so romantic. The house is set back from the road, so is nice and quiet. Pickering is a 15 minuet walk away on a flat path lovely walk. We will be returning . Thank you John and Helen.
