Lovely, comfortable, spacious room, bigger-than-kingsized bed, a decent size telly, and clean modern bathroom. Lovely friendly lady met me at the door (btw easy parking for about 10 cars on the property). I was the only one in that night so preordered cooked breakfast (this suits me because i don't like wasted food). Breakfast was lovely, overlooking the garden.
There are a couple of dogs at the property but they are not interested at all in guests!
My only annoyance (and its petty really) was that the kettle is very difficult to get under the bathroom tap to fill.
I would love to stay here again.

This place reminded me of an old people’s home . Faded old fissioned furniture . Pillows were hard and rooms stuffy .
We booked and paid for 2 nights but came away after one
Shower in the second room we were offered was rusty and kept going hot and cold .
Breakfast was average to poor . Bacon tough and sausage full of fat ! Poached eggs ok and coffee but that is all .
The only highlight of our trip was a visit to NYMR
Which was delightful .
Could not wait to return home to my beautifully appointed 4 Bedroomed house !!

This venue is charming and cosy, like Pickering itself. We were made very welcome, with a tea tray on arrival, an extra to the complimentary tray already in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful and the evening meal we had booked for one day was excellent, as were the breakfasts which had a good range of choices and generous "Yorkshire" portions .
Location is good, easy walking distance to the town centre and attractions, including the steam railway, but also quiet at night.
There is a pleasant garden area, and ample parking.
