Really pleased that this cafe has reopened. It is a great asset to the park, situated as it is between the splendid bowling green and excellent children's playground.
Coffee and tea is first rate, the snacks and meals are well-priced and imaginative, and the staff very friendly.
You can sit-in or eat out on the raised terrace (keeping an eye on the grandchildren playing with their friends on the play equipment), or facing the other way, watching the games of bowls.
Both areas would however benefit from some colourful umbrellas, which would be visible from all over the park and advertise that the cafe is 'open for business'. It has been closed for so long that many people still think it still is.
A hard-working and polite team who deserve to do well.......
