What a lovely welcome you receive from Gill and Kim. As soon as you arrive they are 100% committed to making your stay as comfortable as possible. Kim took our cases up to our room and Gill was on hand you tell us all about our room and its facilities, she also advised about the local area and places to eat. Our room was Yew, which as more than comfortable, with TV and tea and coffee. We had our own separate private bathroom. The room is quite secluded overlooking the beautiful garden. Breakfast was preordered the night before from an extensive menu of local produce and was cooked fresh for you and I have to say is one of the best I've had. The house itself is amazing and tastefully decorated with period charm. It also has parking. It is located in a quiet area of Bodmin and a short walk of some excellent restaurants. All in all its a fabulous B and B and I strongly recommend a stay if visiting this area.

Thanks Angie, we're delighted you discovered Bedknobs B&B and it was our pleasure to have you stay. Thank you too for appreciating what we offer- sustainability and local sourcing is key to most everything we do. And it goes without saying that a repeat visit would be welcomed at any time! Springtime is always a great time of year to visit Cornwall when its many gardens open to the public are at their very "blooming" best.

Thank you once again for your kind words.

We had a super stay at Bedknobs. The room was quiet & spacious with excellent facilities. Gill & Kim were excellent hosts. The complimentary tea tray was very good. We had a delicious platter of sandwiches on our first evening there. Breakfast was delicious. Kim was an excellent provider of "things to do" & if we would need a brolly or not! We would definitely recommend a stay there & we hope to return again soon.

This was our second visit to Bedknobs and as before it was excellent. We stayed in Beeches which we love, but were assured by our fellow guests that their rooms were equally impressive. One of the nicest features of Bedknobs is breakfast time. we have met so many lovely people from the UK, Belgium, Germany, Italy etc. It is a truly European affair and as if by magic all our fellow guest have been charming, and amusing too. (Bedknobs seemingly working its magic everywhere) Much of this 'vibe' i suspect, come from the wonderful hosts, Gill and Kim. Their warmth and hospitality are second to none. Another interesting feature is that this beautiful house stands in a large garden surrounded by tall trees, so that although you are in the town, you look out of your window and feel as though you are deep in the countryside. There are no sounds of traffic, only birdsong to waken you gently in the morning.
When trying to write an objective review, its tempting to 'nitpick' in an attempt to find some negative aspects but 'hand on heart' there are none. There are cheaper B&Bs in Cornwall, but if like me, you believe that you only get what you pay for, then you will love it. Book this one with confidence.

And let's hope it won't be the last! We were indeed chuffed that you returned for a secind visit and thank you so much for those very kind words. It's a pleasure to share both house and garden with our guests and we love it when everyone gets along at breakfast as it's a great opportunity for you all to share experiences and exchange ideas - which just leaves Kim handing out the maps!

See you next year? We so hope so.

We had a lovely long weekend staying at this B&B. If you are planning a holiday in this area you would be mad not to stay here! Gill and Kim have certainly thought of everything to make your stay perfect.

Thank you so much for those kind words and recommendation and it goes without saying that we'd welcome your future return. We hope our accommodation suits most needs whether visiting briefly or for a longer stay whilst Bodmin makes an excellent base from which to explore Cornwall's many hidden corners!

Back again for the fifth year running. Really welcoming and comfortable. the bed is really good the accommodation is clean and everything works. The breakfasts are always enjoyable, as firstly the food is lovely and everything is made from local produce, and secondly, we always meet really interesting people and have to tear ourselves away to go on day trips. It is ideally situated - walking distance to Bodmin shops but on a very quiet road, and also for visiting anywhere else in Cornwall.

Thank you for those kind words and we hope that we'll see you back here next year. Now it is guests like yourselves that help keep us on our toes and ever mindful of ongoing refurbishment and improvements so there is always something new to spot when you return! Breakfast is a great opportunity to socialise and at the same time share your knowledge of Cornwall and all the places that you've discovered - thank you for that. So, til next year!
