We thought this was a nice place and took a small group for dinner, among them a few Tricase locals. They served us FROZEN SEAFOOD for our order! When we objected the owner became aggressive and belligerent in full view of many patrons. We paid for our hors d'oeuvres and noticed a BIG FAT MISTAKE on the bill where they charged us for Prosecco we had not ordered. The Seafood was frozen and our local guests told us that it didn't seem even to be of local origin as they size of the prawns was not common to Tricase. Disgusting! Be warned!

Small, intimate and quiet venue with tables right at the water's edge. The Linguine is outstanding. There's also a small section on the side which is semi-private. Watch kids, dogs and people enjoy the Porto as you sip on a Long Island. Relax.

Simple, unpretentious, like the name, Bar Friggitoria Porto Vecchio.
But what a place! In front of you the port of Tricase, with boats, sails, ducks entering and exiting from the sea, (what? Ducks in the sea? Well yes!!!) simple folding tables and wooden chairs that can be moved and added to the edge of the quay. The dishes are also "simple" but what fun! Superb pasta with seafood, fried Paranza slurpy, simple vegetables baking tray delicious. Always ask the young waiters fresh fish of the day, are very friendly and reliable.
Small selection of Salento wines but good.
And then take a walk to the end of the harbor, you will see the caves in front of a small beach, the water is clear, you can make a digestive bath immediately or wait for the next morning.

Unpretentious simply cooked fresh fish, exactly what we're looking for.
It was a hot afternoon a breeze from the sea blew along the tables clustered along the restaurant wall.
Ice cold local wine and freshly caught bass baked whole in foil with lemon and a few herbs.
Wish I was there now!
