We were travelling up to Skye for Hogmanay, and chose the Blackaddie Country House Hotel for our stop en-route. We arrived on a dark and stormy night - and before we'd had time to get out of the car, a smiling manager came out to greet us and carry our bags in - a lovely welcome at the end of a long drive.
Our room was very comfortable, and we loved the jacuzzi bathtub - perfect relaxation before a delicious dinner. Ian's cooking is truly excellent, and so creative - with some very yummy little "extras" between courses.
And our breakfast next morning before we headed out into the storm and floods was just as good. We were sent on our way with bags of tablet and shortbread biscuits and lots of good advice for our ensuing journey. We felt very well cared for and very well fed.More
