On a beautiful sunny day, this has to be on your 'must do' list if you're in the area. Whilst not totally obvious at the beginning, this walk will give you all you could want in a walk including 2 beaches, sea landscape, wildlife galore ( butterflies especially ) a derelict yet beautiful pristine church site virtually on the beach and a pub! I'm in !!! I recommend starting with the steep cliff route first and circling back downhill to the pub where you started, makes things a lot easier and the views will be better.

We got what we ultimately agreed was good advice to go down to the parking lot at the north end of the trail (turn off the A487 at the church before the Freemasons Hotel), pray for parking in the “trust the motorist to pay” parking lot, and hike from there over and down to the other trail head at the Old Sailors Inn. The steepest part of the hike is best done going up not down. And it is pretty rigorous, taking about 1.5 hours if you move briskly. But you are RICHLY rewarded with a 360 degree view at the apex of the bluff. It is a great way to experience the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park if you don’t have days to spend in the area.

We love hiking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and are doing it in bits and pieces. This trip a big goal was to do the cliff path on Dinas Head. Amazing views! The hike is moderate to mid difficulty and is worth every single step you take UP.

Dinas head is part of the coastal path walk and is well worth the effort for the stunning views from the top of the island.

We were told about the walk around Dinas Island yesterday, and as we were heading to Cardigan for 2 days, decided to divert and go there. Even on a very very hot day it was a really stunning walk and the panoramic views were so good! The ruined church was an unexpected bonus. This may well be one of our favourites so far on the Pembrokeshire Coast.
