Found it through Trip Advisor and didn't expect much from it, but as, the title says, we were very pleasantly surprised by homemade BBQed meats and local cheeses. A special mention and reccomendation goes to the *tabla de quesos* and *chuleton*. Let go of the other tapas bar and give it a go!

So pleased to discover this restaurante had reopened when we went for an impromptu walk round the village at 1.30 one night. We went straight back that night for a meal. Pluma Iberica cooked in the wood fire with wonderfull potatoes. Fantastic.

The menu has been extended and now includes tapas which will be next week's adventure. Kiddie options too.

Great music. Good atmosphere and really friendly. Everyone should try it!

I ate the when the parents, Carmen and Paco ran it 10+ years ago and since it's been open again, it's just as good. Although open Wednesday to Sunday, I would advise weekends, as wife if there to help front of house. Saying that the food is fantastic whenever you go and they aim to give you all you want.

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant whilst on holiday.

The owner was friendly and although had little English helped us with our menu choices.

A really delicious meal, will definitely be going again.

Everyone was really happy with their food.

I don't understand this. Reading TA we set out for a Sunday lunch treat. Lovely windy roads and great scenery. We were out to give our taste buds a treat and to enjoy ourselves on a typically sunny Sunday. This recommended place just doesn't live up to the reviews. The waitress was pleasant (probably an owner) and sitting under the trees was a delight. The shared salad starter was thick with some greasy bottled sauce that made the House Salad slippery and untasty. Something orange was smeared all around the plate. It looked like congealed egg... but was sweet. Goats cheese on the top was the best part. Ready to be pleasantly surprised, the 6 lamb cutlets and oven-cooked potatoes arrived. The cutlets were as hard as nails. Cooked over an oak-fired grill, or not, they were very disappointing. Were they from the freezer? What kind of oil were the patatas pobres cooked in? Not nice but filling. 33 euros for that lot. After that, all we wanted to do was get out of there. Don't think I am always negative. We ate twice this week for 112 euros a head, three courses, water and including a bottle of wine - and one place offered us coffee as well for that price. It wasn't Michelin ratings but it was tasty, well presented and excellent value for money. At this restaurant the lamb cutlets alone were 9.90 euros. Something is seriously wrong. The best part of the day was the drive from Marbella.

Fco. José Romero.
