Description: L'Atelier is a small vegetarian restaurant in a very old house of Mecina Fondales, a typical whitewashed village of the Alpujarras. The house offers 2 guest rooms. We cook fresh organic local products we get from nearby small orchards. Brigitte offers dishes from Morocco, India, Asia, and mediterranean specialities, all of them with authentic taste. Conclude your meal with any of our exquisite homemade desserts. We open everyday for lunch and dinner, it's always nicer to call us first. You can sit outside too. Welcome.

We visited this restaurant with a 6 months old baby. It was Tuesday in February, and we were the only customers. We got best service ever! The couple who own the restaurant brought us a children's car seat so that our baby could sit there and we could eat more easily. They also brought us a baby changing pad (where to change baby's diaper). And gave her a little doll! I can't believe such nice people exist. We felt completely at home there.

Also food was delicious. For dessert I especially recommend Orange cream!

We always go to L'Atelier when in the district. For the past year while living in the next village we have been roughly weekly. Brigitte is a brilliant cook and the food is always simply delicious - we love it even though we are not vegetarians. And Michel always has excellent wine on hand at a very reasonable price - this is the only restaurant where I can say "a bottle of red, please, Michel - whatever you have that's good" with confidence that it will be good and not expensive. Brigitte and Michel are delightful hosts and having been so often we now count them as friends!

We loved meeting Michel and Brigitte at their lovely restaurant. The food and service was awesome and simply delicious. This is a quaint restaurant set in a very beautiful location. I will return again - in my next trip to Spain. Michel was very welcoming. Thank you both!

We came upon this restaurant completely by chance and I am very glad we did. The owners are extremely welcoming and the delicious food is prepared with love. The highlight of our trip to the Alpujarras.

We visited Brigitte's and Michel's restaurants for a dinner and we liked it so much plus they let us take home their authentic, delicious Tiramisu in one of their glass bowls that we needed to return the next day.
We had the Risotto, Wakame salad, Gazpacho and several other dishes. They were prepared with love and of high quality and always with personal twist. The portions are generous, we left very happily and enjoyed our walk back to home to Ferreirola. You also have to try their Sangria, it's a wonderful concoction of different spices that make their version of Sangria especially yummy.
Brigitte and Michel are the sweetest hosts ever. They are very knowledgable about the area and happy to share great tips. You can feel that they love what they are doing.
We will be back for sure!
