“First class conversion in a sleepy hamlet”

If you're looking for an escape to the French wine region of Borderlais, where the only noise you'll hear is the cockrel and bell tower, then this place is for you. We had two blissful weeks here at the beginning of September. The weather was superb (apart from one HUGE storm one evening) and we enjoyed temperatures in the 30's. The house is a converted farm building and it's been done to a very high standard. The room sizes are very generous, its equipped with absolutely everything and the outdoor pool is a real treat. We enjoyed breakfast outside every day and BBQ'd most evenings by the pool. The location is about an hour from Bordeaux and about 45 mins from Bergerac. There's plenty to see and do - vineyards, prunes, chocolate - food heaven! And there are night markets during the summer time. We have visited many wine regions in France but always wanted to visit Bordeaux. This holiday meant that we could really explore the area. One lesson learned was the how to get there. We drove from Calais on the way down and it took 10 hours (including 3 stops). On the way back, we left a day early, stopped at Le Mans overnight. This was a much better way for us as the drive in one go is rather long. Would we go back? Yes, definitely.
