This temple must have been huge! Look at the size of the fallen columns and caryatids! It's really impressive. What a pity it was destroyed!

According to the information at the site this temple was 60X100m! Simply boggles the mind that something that massive (a little bigger than an American football field) could have been conceived, let alone built in that time. There's a scale model in the museum that will give you a sense of its scale.

This temple is not much more than a pile of broken rocks, but what a big pile it is, and how shapely some of them are. Of particular interest are the telamons - giant human figures that once adorned the temple and appeared to hold up the roof.

This is one of the most massive temple that has been discovered. It is impressive to see how enormous it was.

The most destroyed of the temples you will get to see but these ruins are huge and very romantic to stroll through.
