We stayed so we could visit the monastery and the commonwealth war graves.
The hotel is a little walk from the town or a very reasonably priced taxi ride. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful. On our first night we almost had the whole place to ourselves, we were really looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Tiny criticism was our room was quite warm, we couldn’t get the air con working but couldn’t be bothered to walk down to reception and ask, after a long day walking to the monastery. Room was extremely clean and sanitized. Breakfast was plentiful and our evening meal very good. No complaints at all and would return. The addition of seeing the dog sitting at reception made our stay - lovely to have a cuddle with her.More
