what a wonderful small family run hotel !!!! many many thanks to francesco and francesca .... they are the nicest people i have ever met ... the staff were also wonderful . a special mention to anna the 3rd floor housekeeper!!! francesco you are very luck to have her working for you !! i honestly cannot say enough about our stay in castellammare di stabia . we visited so many places around the area and the town itself, try enzo and bruno for a pizza !!! magnificent we ate there 3 times, short train journey to sorrento ( or ferry for €4) , naples , pompeii. a short bus journey from sorrento to positano one of the most beautiful villages in the world. i cannot believe some of the negative reviews regarding the buildings that have become derelict over the years .. why blame the hotel for this ? cars and vespas honking going round small and dangerous bends behind the hotel? would you rather they crash ? again yes there is a litter and graffiti problem all over naples and italy but for me some of that adds to the very old culture of the place. it is so busy in these places and with the very small cobbled streets dark little alley ways it must make it impossible for any authority to keep it pristine as some would like to perceive it. but they cant. in positanto there is a local population of approx 2000 they can easily get 12000 visitors a day it must be an absolute nightmare to manage what some expect from them . in castellamare itself there are litter bins and trash cans everywhere a lot more than we have home here in ireland . so my only advise to anyone going to that area do your homework and if your looking for sand sea and sangria you are going to the wrong place .. but if you want culture good food reasonable prices cheap travel the warmest friendliest local people then i recommend castellammare di stabia and the surrounding area.
once again many thanks to all at the hotel europa stabia
kindest regards
bernadette and brian quinn

The service offered by Francesco and his team is a rare find these days very polite attentive staff. Francesco made a point of introducing himself and speaking with his clients which enhances anyones stay and offers an old fashioned cham and personal service making the customer feel respected and valued. Lia on reception was "golden"always offering a first class service and advice on all aspects of travel to get you where you want to visit. We tested her a lot as there is so much to see in the area 😀 and you are always greeted with a smile and genuine interest in how your day has been when you return to the hotel. The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard and towels changed daily and bed linen changed regularly. The restaurant staff are very welcoming and attentive and the food is to a high standard and served to your table. We are very sad to leave a place which has felt like home for the past 10 days. We send our love to you all and hope to see you all again..... until the next time!

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and we can't say enough about our wonderful experience at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, all the staff treated us like family—so warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. It’s rare to find a place where every single person makes you feel truly at home, but that’s exactly what we experienced here.

Our room was cleaned daily to a standard you rarely see—it was spotless! This attention to detail really added to our comfort during the stay. The entire hotel was held to the same exceptional standard of cleanliness.

A special mention must go to Francesco, the owner, who is an absolute gentleman. It's clear that he takes immense pride in both his hotel and his staff, and it really shows. His personal touch made our stay extra special, and we were genuinely touched by his kindness and attention to detail.

The hotel offers a shuttle service to local amenities for a small fee, which was a huge relief given the high cost of taxis in Italy. This service was incredibly convenient for us! Each day, we were dropped off and picked up from the train station, allowing us to see and do more than we expected.

The surrounding area(s) has so much to offer from Naples city , Pompeii, mount. Vesuvius, Sorrento, Capri, Positano,Amalfi and many more stunning places.

Food
We ate at the hotel every night
( 7 nights)and enjoyed every meal . My husband is a plain eater and his taste was accommodated to without hesitation or fuss( uncommon in Italy)
We had breakfast every morning and found ourselves eating probably too much , their warm croissants were delicious along with their mini pancakes.
The hotel even accommodated us with breakfast on days where we needed to leave before their set breakfast times.
Again staff were delightful.

This hotel is a true gem, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. We hope to revisit in the future and see all their friendly faces again.

Loved every moment of our holiday!

I have just left the hotel and am actually writing my review at Naples airport!
All I can say is that I wish I was back at the hotel!
My daughter and I spent a 7 day mini break at this hotel and we loved it!
The hotel is owned by a charming gentleman called Francesco who is supported by his daughter Francesca and a team of amazing people one in particular is Lia who supports at the reception. The team members are all extremely polite, kind, professional and very very helpful.
The hotel and its grounds are all extremely clean and clearly cared for.
The housekeeping team do a great job at cleaning the room and towels are changed daily.
We booked through loveholidays and had to pay some extra charges which I was already aware of having read the reviews but it was all perfectly explained at check in. I have already spoken to the hotel and will be booking my next trip through their website instead and will not have to pay extra charges!
The hotel is at the top of a hill but it actually is an enjoyable 15 minute walk to town. If you prefer not to walk there is a shuttle from the hotel for a small fee or the bus which will bring you to the bottom of the hill, a short walk to the hotel.
We ate at the hotel or used room service every night and the food is delicious!
The breakfast is a buffet continental style served by again a team of lovely people.
I do recommend the hotel and I myself will be returning soon!
Thankyou francesco, Francesca, Lia and the rest of the team for our very enjoyable stay… see you soon!😘

The owner of this hotel- Francisco , a really nice helpful man, another worthy of mention- Lia on reception, very helpful and welcoming. Booked through love holidays for a week...just don't, the hidden costs are hideous - air con- €112 , pool -€30 PER PERSON , PER DAY! To use the hotels OWN POOL!On arrival , and after booking breakfast and dinner were asked for the "voucher" for dinner...erm, no, we had no such thing so was informed that our dinner entitlement would be the anti pasti , if we wanted the full thing it would need paying for, so much for booking dinner eh. The room was overlooking a busy road, as others have said- constant mopeds all hours, the room was OK, air con worked fine, no mini bar or fridge. Drinks - €6 for a standard bottle of lager- top end, hotel does appear to be situated in a run down area with derelict hotels surrounding it. The food...sorry Francesco, it's awful apart from the pizza and chips, served by waiters dressed in full black suits etc , just try to concentrate on bringing up the food quality instead.

Room tip: Don't book through love holidays

Dear Customer,

Thank you for staying with us 1 night .

For the readers I want to communicate that every time you make a reservation it is like a contract.

Dear Mr. Adrian, did you sign a contract without reading the conditions and without knowing where you were going?

So having refused all the solutions to your requests I have to confirm what your wife said..that you made a mistake in booking and that it was your intention to stay in Sorrento (that's why you found so many faults in my hotel).

All the extras to pay if you asked for them were all well mentioned in your booking and also on the voucher that was asked of you.

So why are you complaining?

So I ask you to respect the work of my staff and not to offend my cuisine that many travelers who stay for 1 or 2 weeks judge to be EXCELLENT.
MY STAFF WEARS ELEGANT BLACK SUITS AT DINNER...do you know that the black suit is elegance and serves to show more respect to the customer who is at dinner?

I think you still have to travel a lot and learn the habits and customs of the people...and also learn how to make a reservation that does not force you to spend double.

- Concentrate well next time!!!

The reservation is a contract that you sign and you assume all responsibility "for the good and in the bad" and you should not blame others and the travel agency that does its job.

I'm waiting for you for a new vacation and to offer you a welcome drink and to let you test all our services for which so many travelers choose us and we reward ourselves and respect our work and our professionalism.

Good life Mr. Adrian S.
