Faded grandeur, and fantastic views. Very well looked after by hotel staff, particularly Mario who was amazing. I don't understand what others are complaining about the local area -- it is quick to walk (or get a free lift from hotel) to the train station and be in Sorrento or Naples or Pompeii etc. very quickly and cheaply. Also I liked the local area and often chose to stay there to eat and shop rather than go further afield.

We had accomodation at this hotel at the end of February and we had two rooms. There were maximum 2 rooms occupied in the hotel at that time, so we basically had the hotel for ourselves. This didn't stop the staff to act like professionals. They were incredibly nice and kind and helped us with everything we needed every single time. The rooms are big, the view is breathtaking and the area is nice and quiet (at least in Feabruary). As a travel agent I will surely recommend this hotel to every client who wants to visit the Amalfi Coast.

Amazing sea view and mountain view. Italian style hotel with nice and helpfull staff. Breakfast restaurant from the 7 floor just perfect. It was the perfect hotel for our stay and we easily visited the amalfi coast. Of course there are little things to improve, it is not a deluxe hotel, but it is a 4 star hotel.

Lovely hotel, perfect staff, unfortunately the town is not the best and we didn't feel like we wanted to spend much time there, but we couldn't fault the hotel, nicely placed to visit Pompeii and Sorrento. We had room with sea view, very big and amazing views, clean and a very grand building

we stayed here in august ,after reading very mixed reviews we were wondering what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised!
Yes it's a little tired but you can tell this was a very grand hotel in its time.
We found it to be a charming and quirky place, clean an comfortable and breakfast was nice , with a lovely view from the restaurant.
Most of the staff were pleasant enough, just doing their job really.
We really liked Raphael though, he was very helpful and friendly and gave us good advice of where to travel to in the area.
We had a room which was looking out onto the street, this was rather noisy but we had expected it due to previous reviews.
All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we ever visited the area.
