We stayed comfortably at Cispiano as a family of four. The farmhouse is a fabulous place from which to explore Tuscany and we did day trips to Siena and Florence. However our only complaint was we didn't have more time to explore the towns and countryside of Chianti - Castellina is a great local town and has everything you will need. Visit San Gimignano from here as well. The grounds were immaculate, the pool beautiful, the wine tasting here was also super and they ship everywhere!
Apartments were clean and comfortable and well appointed but there is no oven, toaster or kettle so be prepared with workarounds.
