This is a traditional Italian hotel in a beautiful spot in Chianti.
The hotel is spread across its grounds with great views of some vineyards. It's a great base too for exploring Siena, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano etc and the reception team are well set-up to help you with your travel plans.
Dinner on good weather days is outside in a lovely spot and the food is quality Italian with a nod towards more international fare.
If the weather is not so good dinner moves indoors to the room where breakfast is served which is a little cramped. The quality of the one meal we had there and the service received was quite excellent.

Breakfast is good too with simple but quality food kept well stocked and fresh.

Our room was what some would describe as "rustic" - we found it to be too basic. Virtually no natural light, air conditioning that wasn't really up to the job and a bit of a lumpy bed. For what we paid (£250/night) I expected more and was a little disappointed.

We have been coming to the Belvedere for 28 years and it continues, somehow, to get better and better. This year improvements have been made to the gardens and some of the bathrooms. The setting, buidings, food and service remain as good as ever. There is no finer place to watch the vines grow or the sun set and eat good food in the open air. For us it is like home, seeing old friends among the staff and regular guests. Sad that this year so few Brits seem able to make it to Tuscany.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a view, though there are so many spots in the gardens or around the pool to enjoy.

We did a winetour in Chianto Classico and stayed one night in this wonderful place. The Hotel is located with surrounding wine plantations and is perfectly kept with a romantic atmosphere. The pool overlooks the surrounding landscape and the outdoor yaccuzi offers a very nice experience.
The room we got, nr 16, was really nice and silent. Dinner is served in the restaurant with really good food and the wine taken from the winyards around was great. The breakfeast in the garden is pure pleasure and included prosecco if wanted.

Wish I had more time to relax here. Grounds are stunning. Dinner at restaurant was outstanding. Christina was very responsive and helpful at reception. The room we stayed in was on small side, but charming. You can tell property has been well maintained

Beautiful rooms with exposed beams and modern bathrooms. Some rooms could be a little dark. Indoor and outdoor dining, bar, lounge and a swimming pool. Great views of the surrounding country side. Secluded, nothing close to walk to. A really charming and authentic villa. Good breakfast in the morning. We were there on a Rick Steves tour.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms right next to the road, cars go roaring by.
