The Valdor Holiday Center is perfect for those wishing to explore the region and Venice and its islands. We stayed in the hotel and had a basic double room. It was very small but served our purpose. The air-conditioning was amazing and the shower powerful. We had a balcony with chairs and a table that overlooked the small pond.

The beach is beautiful and has a bar/restaurant. You can pay for sunloungers and umbrellas at the hotel reception - costs €10 per day. We also hired bikes for a couple of days and explored a few places in the region: Punta Sabbione, Treporti and much of Cavallino.

This area of Italy is stunning and the food and drink are some of the best you'll find for value and taste. We didn't eat in the hotel in the evening but ate most days at the beach bar which had a varied menu for all tastes.

The holiday center was very popular with campers; we were wowed by the extensive pitches and resourcefulness of the campers and caravaners. The wooded area used for the campsite had a relaxed ambience and the smells from the big communal grills at dinner time were testament to the excellent produce available in the region.

The pool in the center is quite small and more of a fun pool with a slide but it is not really needed with such a fabulous beach on your door-step. The beach bar is open late into the night with themed evenings and a real club beach vibe.

The Valdor is a perfect place to explore this fantastic region and visit neigbouring Venice and the islands without having to pay over-priced tourist prices. Ca'Savio is a great little place and a chance to experience a real Italian beach resort. The hotel rooms are basic but offer everything you need for a short break away from it all. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English.

There are a few things to note:
1. Depending when you visit, the mosquitos (or zanzara) can be very persistent and particularly nasty. Wear repellent if you are prone to bites. They can leave you with quite nasty bites with swelling, itchiness and soreness. We went in August - probably the worst time!
2. Get to grips with the ferry time-tables (they look like a London underground map) It looks confusing and off-putting but when you have worked it out it is easy, cheap and the most effective way to explore.
3. Use public transport - both trains and buses are very cheap and efficient. (We paid €6 each for a bus from Treviso airport to Ca'Savio and €45 each to travel first class - with a glass of prosecco- on the train from Venice to Bologna.)

Yes, this is 1960s style hotel, but it's cosy and stylish in a way.
Best for those who are focused more on beaches the on Venice .
Best if you plan to rest on a beach for 5 days and go to Venice for 2 days.
Traveling tine to San Marco is approximately 1 hour.
Beach is clean as well as the pools.

We stayed in the Hotel Valdor at the beginning of August this year. We were made very welcome by friendly staff who were very helpful. The hotel itself was very comfortable. From our balcony we had views over the garden area, which was very tastefully set out. The campsite sits behind this garden but cannot be seen from the hotel. We only ate breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on any other meals. I am fussy about European breakfasts, but I enjoyed this one. There was a good selection of food available, both hot and cold. A good chance to set up for the day. The beach was good and free sunbeds. There is a club at the beach end of the site, but it cannot be heard from the hotel room. Campers may find this to be an issue. Air-conditioning in the room is good and balcony doors can be closed at night. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Overlooking the rear gardens.

I've just returned form a fantastic holiday with my husband in Valdor holiday center.
Food was excellent, using home grown products from the Zanella family.
The accomodation was very comfortable, clean, and the staff very friendly.
The hotel has a fantastic walk to the beach through the camp site, with picturesque bungalows, surrounden by pine-trees, ideal for family holidays. Before arriving on their child friendly sandy beach, we found a large swimming pool and very well organized beach restaurant and disco bar.
We will certainly return on our next trip to Venice

Room Tip: superior rooms are very confortabile and just renewed

I stayed at this centre with my family last year. I enjoyed my stay a great deal. We stayed in a building (to be precise, a mobile home)
that was located in a very green and quiet area close to a really large and beautiful sandy beach. There were excellent services at the beach and the swimming pool, and there was also a nice playground, ideal for the children. We ate dinner every night at the resturant in the centre, and we enjoyed good food and friendly, helpful staff. We particularly enjoyed the vegetable buffet. The centre was lively, unobtrusive and above all entertaining for the children. All in all it was a good week.
