We stayed here 3 nights at the end of June 2016 and once again the stay was wonderful! We were greeted by Carolina and Paolo when we arrived mid day. This being our 2nd time here we knew the lay of the land. Here is how I would describe the property. Quite, beautiful, peaceful and serene. The large pool and high quality pool furniture make lounging easy to do. This was the first time we opted for a home cooked meal by our hosts. Wow. Wonderful. We came down for dinner at a time we chose to a beautifully set table on the terrace. Our first course was a nice selection of meats, cheeses and bruschetta to die for. Perfectly executed. For our main course we had homemade ricotta gnocchi in fresh pomadoro sauce. We had a bottle of wine as well. All this done just steps from the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The rooms are big and well appointed. The bathrooms are some of the best we have had in Italy with rain showers and quality fixtures throughout. We took day trips every day to another village we had yet to visit. Everything is close from a driving standpoint (30 min to 1 hour). Do not miss the Cugusi dairy for a picnic lunch. Carolina speaks perfect English and is a delight as is Paolo. Until next time......

Room tip: All the rooms are stunning!

Lovely hosts with high quality service all day long. Carolina and Paolo helped with every issue we had. The house and the garden with a large pool was amazing. Breakfast is excellent and the recommendations for restaurants were really great. We booked a dinner for our last evening, served on the great terrace - just amazing. We are pretty sure to come back in the future.

We stayed here for one night before attending our daughters wedding and loved every minute.
Carolina and Paolo are the perfect hosts, engaging and charming.
Breakfast was of a very high standard which was mostly home made (the cakes were amazing).
Our room was beautifully furnished and spacious with a large walk in shower en suite.
Idyllic location nestled in the Tuscan Hills.
Carolina's recommendation of a restaurant for an evening meal was perfect too.
I would definitely urge others to stay here. Perfect!!

Room tip: All rooms looked equally beautiful.

Our hosts are the best we've ever had. They were helpful and considerate in every respect. They helped us book our bicycle trip. They returned our rented bikes to the bicycle shop. They deliver us to the train station for our trip to Florence. The property and rooms were beautiful well-maintained and in excellent condition. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip to Italy. We had great coffee and great conversation with the hosts. The only issue was the distance of the property from chiusi. However our hosts gave us a ride to the train station which we greatly appreciated. The b&b was beautiful and very quiet. We strongly and highly recommend this place.

Room tip: This is worth going out of your way to visit.

We have lived several years traveling in Italy, so we know agriturismos/B&Bs in Italy well. Al Giardino degli Etruschi has been one of our favorites.

The owners/managers live on site, making for great flexibility regarding arrival times. They speak good English. They provide a nice personal touch, with a small gift in the room, and they showed our son their new baby goat, a trip highlight for him.

The property itself is immaculate and authentic. Surrounded by tall cypress trees, one feels nicely enclosed in a private Italian villa. Filled with interesting antiques, and impeccable gardens, we found ourselves thinking it would be a good place to return in order to take some family photos. Our room had the same authentic feel. Wi-fi worked well, water was hot, beds comfortable, and, critically for an agriturismo, the room was the perfect temperature, not always a sure thing when staying at agriturismos. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful, around a communal table which enabled fun conversation with fellow international guests. There's a big lawn, a gazebo, garden furniture, and a pool, so especially in the summertime it must be a wonderful place to relax. Perhaps add a hammock somewhere on that big lawn?

The other reason we chose this property was location. The best of Umbria is a 30-60 minute drive east, while the best of southern Tuscany is the same west. This property would be an ideal base for someone wanting to explore Montepulciano, Montalcino and the Val d'Orcia on a short day trip, and then maybe easily get to Trasimeno, Perugia and/or Assisi the next.

It's a good value for the price. We would definitely return.
