Our first visit to this quaint old english pub was rewarded with a very warm welcome from the staff who couldn’t do enough to help. We were ushered to our table in the restaurant which was decorated with old artefacts. A log fire was regularly kept topped up. Friends ordered steak which was cooked to their liking. I ordered Moroccan lamb which sadly, Was very disappointing. strips of over cooked lamb were placed on top of a few mediterranean vegetables and couscous. The whole meal was very dry and bland as there was no form of sauce provided as you would expect with a tagine type of meal with couscous. In fairness, the waitress offered to get some gravy but I declined as that wouldn’t work, so I changed the meal for a steak which was good.
