This really is an extremely good restaurant in a wonderful 13th Century tower with great views.
The food is exceptional. The service is friendly but not overly so.
This is well up on my list of great restaurants.
A good range of dishes (mainly fish and seafood) at a range of prices.

Will definitely come again if we are in the area.

Thank Andrewgp1

It was our first trip to the amalfi coast and found the lovely town of maiori with its hidden jewel of a restaurant called torre normanna. Juan our waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was amazing .we had the fish tasting menu which was sublime. Each dish was amazing and glorious on the eye and to eat . If you love food this is a must visit if you are in the area and great value for money. Cant believe it has no michealin stars yet as it is an parr with the likes or purnells and adams in birmingham england. Thank you to all the staff for a superb end to our first itlalian holiday .

This was our first visit to the Amalfi Coast and we were told that Torre Normanna was special. We were not disappointed. The Resturant itself is truly unique in it’s features and the location and view of Maiori and the Amalfi Coast is spectacular. If that was not enough, the menu selection was excellent but the real treat was the quality and taste of every dish coming from the kitchen. Everyone in our party agreed that our experience at Torre Normanna was clearly the highlight of our holiday. The staff went out of their way to satisfy our every need, they made a special effort to present a surprise special dish to the birthday guest and even invited all of us to visit the kitchen and meet Chef Luigi. If we ever return to the Amalfi Coast we will certainly return to Torre Normanna and we would recommend this Resturant.

Nice location but not very good service.
And the taste of the food was nothing special.

Regarding the service:
- We ordered wine by the glas and they did not show us the bottle or let us try the wine, but served the glas filled up.
- We had to ask for salt, pepper, olive oil and even a plate for the bread, wich should have been served together with the bread.
- They played radio during dinner, with advertisement, so we had to ask them to change it to actual music.
- When they served the seafood pasta we had to especially ask for a new glass of white whine.
- The salami slices where very thick and hand cut on the Diavola pizza.
- And they even forgot one of our starters.
- Now we don't have the energy to write any more...

Be aware!

Dear 693jonask,
thanks for choosing our restaurant.

I did not have the pleasure to serve you, but I've spoken to my colleagues and collected some info to tell my version of the events.

Let's start telling that you've booked a table for Saturday night in our Bellavista Hall (asked for a no-smoker area, so you were aware of where your table was), but then you did not like the location and wanted to be moved to the already fully booked rocks area.

No problem at all for us, we did it!

It must have been a bad evening for you as the server was there with the bottle and gave you exactly what you asked for (if you order a glass of wine, you can't expect it to be refilled without you requesting it).

You ordered a mozzarella and culatello starter together with a pizza (we use a slicer to prepare the cold cuts, sorry that the salami was too thick for your child! ), so I can't really understand what you're talking about!

If you wanted to have oil, salt etc, you could have asked for it as we don't set the table that way in case like yours.

Again you could have shown your disappointment here at the restaurant and we could have fixed the situation.

It does not matter anymore, I can't fix it now!

Warm regards,
Ivano Proto

This is our second trip to the Torre Normanna and it is one of my favourite restaurants in the world. The location is absolutely stunning and unique and the food is exquisite. I would encourage anyone who comes to the Amalfi coast to experience this place, it is a truly unforgettable experience.
