Our whole family stayed here in June and had the most wonderful vacation of our lives. Easy day trips (with the help of Laura's in room books) to Orvieto, Medieval Festivals in Bevagna, and Chiusi, Siena, Montalcino, local wineries and many stops into town (5 mins) to Montepulciano. Laura and her mother made us welcome, prepared delicious food, cooking class, and advice on what to see and do. And always a place to come back to and relax by the pool with beautiful views. Loved it and we will go back.

Room Tip: Only 4 apartments so they are all excellent, from 1 to 3 bedrooms. all have views across the valley...

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at this farmhouse. The cottage was spectacular, spacious, beautiful and comfortable. We walked the surrounding fields and took lots of pictures of the Tuscan light shining down on the hills. We even got a rainbow!

This home was our hub for spending the week in Tuscany.

Most of the towns we visited were within an hour drive from here, some only ten minutes away. Montepulciano and Cortona were some of my favorites.

Laura and her family are welcoming, organized, and knowledgeable. They've been here a long time, and they provide a very useful guidebook to all the locality has to offer. We arranged a private wine tour at a winery in Montalcino and tasted their amazing Brunello. So we came home with six bottles! It's amazing, and affordable.

Overall, the stay was comfortable and affordable. It costs as much as a motel in San Francisco, except it's positively a presidential suite in comparison. We had a lot of independence, which we like, but also guidance when we asked. We did enjoy rolling spaghetti with grandma and enjoying a couple dinners with other guests. And a few breakfasts, too, which are included, when we weren't rushing out to catch the sunrise in a hill-town. It was very memorable.

Tips for booking a stay here: Email Laura well in advance (we did it maybe a month in advance, but I suggest earlier, if you can). Expect to spend a week here, and if you can, be flexible with your schedule in case there's availability a day before or after your original plan. Laura speak/reads English pretty well, so that's convenient, though I did try to use a few common Italian phrases for practice.

And for staying in Tuscany: Rent a car! Plan to see one, two or even three towns in a day if you like to wake up early. Enjoy the wine! Take lots of pictures especially when the sun is low. It's okay to eat gelato two times a day.

I wish to go back here soon with my family.

Stunning vistas; glorious sunrise/sunsets; tranquil walks; conveniently located a short drive from historic towns and villages; a rustic comfortable room. All great reasons to stay at La Bruciata, however, Laura Duchini, our host for the past week is what sets this Agriturismo apart from the rest. Her attention to detail; her bubbly infectious personality, her responsiveness to any issue you may have. These are the intangibles that separate a good vacation from a great vacation. A week at La Bruciata is a great vacation. We enthusiastically recommend this B&B - so much more than a bread and breakfast - a memory that will last a lifetime. Thank you Laura for all you and your family did to make our stay wonderful.

We stayed in Laura farm house mid Oct. also took a cooking class with her mother. Everything was perfect, Laura provided us excellent hospitality. The dinner was great, in fact it was the best pasta we ever had. Every morning Laura made us coffee and we have always asked for a second cup because it was so good. The food was all sourced from her own farm and you could taste the freshness of it.
If The room is clean and Laura also provided laundry for us at a very cheap price. The room has excellent view over the the Tuscan Hill. The agriturismo is only 10 minutes from Montepulciano and of course you definitely requires a car to get around Tuscany.

If we have the opportunity we definitely come back and stay with Laura.

Add me to the list of those who love La Bruciata. The rooms were very large and comfortable. We had a little balcony which was nice. The bathroom is large and shower excellent. Big, fluffy towels were a plus.

Weather was iffy most of our stay but we did get to sit at the pool one day. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept.

The biggest draw, however, is Laura, her mother and her adorable little daughter. We could tell Laura each morning if we wanted to eat dinner there which was very convenient as you are about a 10 minute drive from Montepulciano. Nice to be able to enjoy a delicious dinner with wine and not have to worry about driving back to the hotel.

Laura and her mother are fantastic cooks! We had dinner three times and each was excellent. From homemade picci pasta to fabulous steaks to wild boar everything was delicious! I truly don't know when they find time to sleep as they are always busy in the kitchen. We even got a knock in the door Friday late afternoon with Laura delivering an aperitif and plate of appetizers. The little extras make this a place I look for ward to return to!
