The only bad thing I can say about this place? We didn't get to stay there long enough! We started in Rome then slowly worked our way north to end in Venice. Everything between the two cities was fabulous (except Florence--don't get me started!) but this place was by far the favorite. Keep in mind this was a family vacation: mom, dad and the two kids under 12, so for you excitement-seeking singles I wouldn't recommend it for more than a couple of days, but for families it is absolutely perfect.
Our private villa was at the top of a hill overlooking the pool, which overlooked the vineyard, which overlooked the valley... The restaurant is a couple of miles away by car, but just up the hill as the crow flies, and probably the best, most relaxing meal we had on our entire trip. And their wines? Oh my...I brought home six bottles--only because I didn't have room for more!
Plan to spend a full day exploring Orvieto, then use as a base for day-trips to the surrounding small towns. We loved everything about our trip, but Tenuta di Corbara is what's calling us back!
