Upon arriving we were very well received by Hilario who was on reception.
However during our 5 nights stay we found that all the staff were friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble.
The bedroom was large and very clean. The bathroom was a very good size too and in there was a large shower and there were two wash basins.
Breakfast had a good choice for everyone’s taste. Coffee was great. This is very important to some of us English too.
Pistoia is a little hidden gem in Tuscany. A medieval town with an amazing history. Pistoia cater for local people and Italians, not many foreigners visit Pistoia, so the food here is wonderful and authentic as well as being reasonably priced.
Hotel Patria is very well located in the centre of the town.
Rooms are a good size and comfortable. Decent sized bathrooms too.
A simple but very good Italian breakfast.

In the center of Pistoia. Well kept and even elegant. Nice rooms (even though sometimes they are a little small) well furnished and with a causy atmosphere. Rich breakfast and great service. Definitely deserves the ratings
My husband and I spent two night at Hotel Patria to attend the Bear Joust. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, very close to the Duomo and restaurants, so the location was perfect. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was not.
The pros: great location, warm friendly staff, great breakfast, comfortable bed, air conditioned, reasonably priced.
The cons: dated and soiled furniture, stained rug in room, not very clean (I wore slippers all the time), the oddest bathroom layout I've ever seen, poor lighting, wifi code had to re-entered every time you turned on your PC.
Although the hotel had many pros, if a clean room is your top priority, then don't stay here. If I should find myself in Pistoia again, I won't be staying here.
