Due to a late flight arrival, we had to do a self check in, keys were left in the villa for us to collect. Entry to the estate is via a coded gate which we received in advance. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa (5) which was very spacious with 3 bathrooms/showers. Beds were predictably firm and the pillows thin (we requested additional pillows were were provided). Villa itself is basic and traditional in terms of decor. Exposed wires around some of the lighting fixtures, tired looking furniture, uncomfortable chairs etc.

Kitchen was well stocked for a large family. Parking is free and spacious outside the villa. Pool area was nice with fairly large unheated pool (not a problem in 35 degrees in August but probably an issues at other times of the year) with lots of comfortable sunbeds and loungers. The lack of parasols was strange though so seats in the shade were necessary at times. We had the pool almost to ourselves a lot of the time and considering the time of year, this was a welcome surprise.

We had an issue with WIFI which was promptly fixed and the SKY TV with HD movies and sports was a nice extra.

Location is good yet we found that a car was essential to get around. Sardinia is a very large island. We took a 1 hr drive to the port in the North to Corsica (1 hr ferry) and it was highly recommended. Bonifacio in Corsica is a great town.

The area of Porto Cervo is strange in that it's a mecca for billionaires and their yachts and subsequently, the shops in the port all cater for the extremely wealth clientele. We found that good quality/value restaurants were hard to come by in the area but found 2 gems within 2km of the villa in Retro Risto Cafe and Trattoria da Patrizia.

Air conditioning is 70 euros a week and necessary in the height of summer, despite the thick walls of the villa keeping it relatively cool regardless. The safe is 10 euros a week which to me was a bit cheeky.

Stayed at Le Antunne in 2010, and provided a review.
Stayed in the same apartments in 2011.
The review is pretty much the same as 2010.

Sofa / Beds a bit on the firm side.
I did request extra pillows before arriving - which they happily provded (free of charge).
Pool remains a bit of a dodgy area after a few days - ear infections !
Luckily the doctors is just down the road - so very handy, and the doctors there are friendly.

Room Tip: Rooms at the top (back) of the complex are facing out onto the main road. Best apartments are ones to the front (left) of the front gate.

Originally when we were looking for self-catering accommodation, we wanted something where really we didn't need to rely on a car every day.
Turns out, you really need the car to get around anyway, but Le Antunne is ideally located to walk to a couple of supermarkets, and some very lovely shops round the Port - very lovely, very expensive shops.!!! (great if you love your watches, D&G, Roberto Cavalli, Swarovski,, etc etc...)

We had Le Antunne (No.8), which is a two bedroom house, located right next to the pool.
Kids found that great - going from the garden to the pool in a nano-second.
Pool is great - good size, seems to be kept clean (although there did seem to be a bought of ear infection in a couple of kids and an adult on our last day).
You can see a view of the Port from the balcony - but it's not a full view, but it's a view none the less.

The only complaint are the beds - they are as hard as you like, along with the pillows.

Having read a previous review, I'd like to add some extra 'no brainer' points.
Self Catering accommodation would very rarely, if ever let you take bathroom towels to the beach / pool.
The air conditioning is extra (as seems to be the case for most hot places nowadays offering self catering accommodation).
Kitchen well stocked with whatever is needed (English - don't expect a teapot / kettle), it's all geared for good coffee.

It is stated that Le Antunne is 700m from the nearest beach - not sure about that myself....
Tried to get to Piccolo Pevero beach - parking is a bit of a nightmare - turn up early otherwise you won't get parked.
There is a water park (old) around the Baia Sardinia area.

Le Antunne is also a great location if you have kids, as there is a medical centre right next door. Doctor speaks enough english to treat you (If english is your preferred language). 25euros for treatment.

There is a 'road mini-train' that departs from the carpark .... BEWARE - there isn't a set schedule for this - they will only depart when they have more than 8 people.... We arrived about 5pm, and waited for 50mins and the train didn't get enough so no train ride for us........ The cost is 7euros each (If you get the ride that is)

In trying to find reasonably priced villas in Sardinia that were child friendly and close to amenities we came across the villas at Le Antunne. We booked a 3 bedroom villa. Overall the villa was fine - it was clean, spacious, decently decorated and as we were travelling with our 3 kids and my brother and his wife, we appreciated having 3 bathrooms. On the plus side, the villa had nice comforts such as A/C (without which we would have been very uncomfortable) , the bathrooms were nice and modern - good showers with nice pressure unlike most Italian places we have stayed at. My main disappointment was the view - although you could see porto cervo port off in the distance, there was no view when you sat down on the terrace. However, we were a 5 minute walk into Porto Cervo so we did not have to drive to go to restaurants etc . It was also within a 5-15 min drive of some amazing beaches.

The couple that either own or rent the villas, were mostly helpful but I felt there was a few basics they could do to improve their guests experience... every little thing that they could charge extra for they did.( safe, baby crib, internet) There was an extra charge for A/C which is quite common in Italy but when we arrived and the got into the villa it was like an oven and the owner seemed reluctant to turn on the A/C until we had paid her the 75 Euro cash and signed the paper work - a bit of an overkill I thought. Also they did not provide beach/pool towels - and warned us that using the bathroom towels would end up with us losing our deposit..not a huge deal BUT it did take us a day or more to actually find a shop nearby thay sold beach towels - I think it would have been nice for them to provide them. Also, did not really feel like lugging a bunch of beach towels home so left them there which seemed like a waste.
Overall I did not love the place as it lacked the charm (and view) of other places we had stayed in Italy but for the money, it was a clean and basic villa within easy reach of Porto Cervo and the Emerald Coast beaches

Me and my husband truly loved this place - the accomomodations are exceptional and the owners, Luca & Jamyra, are fantastic. They always make sure to follow up on your every need.

We stayed for a week - we had the two bedroom, two bathroom villa. The accommodations over exceeded our expectations. The decor is Mediterranean style - all the rooms are tastefully done, modern bathrooms, laundry area with your own washer/dryer, BBQ attached to the house, very clean and airy, and so spacious! We had a large deck overlooking the ocean where we had breakfast every morning.

The location is fantastic - just a few minutes walk to all the Porto Cervo restaurants, shops, grocery store, and boat harbor. Also, not that far from some really beautiful beaches.

Most days we ventured out - but always found time to relax by the beautiful pool.

This is a fabulous place and we will certainly stay here again.

Highly recommend!
