Palazzo Murat is a lovely hotel. Positano is a very busy area, but PM makes you feel like you are in your own little oasis. I was really impressed with my time at the resort. We spent 6 nights there with my wife and our 3 year old son. I would say the resort skews more adult, but we did see some kids by the pool area, so we didn’t feel completely out of place. The hotel has this old timey/modern charm which is really nice. The room itself was small but very updated. We were on their 2nd floor with a really nice view of positano old buildings and also somewhat of the water. I like the hotels location as it’s not too far from the main beach area and not too far up of a walk. Everything is a steep and a lot of stairs in Positano in general, so you have to be aware of that coming into this. Breakfast at the hotel was a good selection of pastries and eggs. We felt very full after breakfast. Pool area is divine and restaurant on-site is spectacular. Make reservation early as possible.
The front desk staff has a GEM and her name is Rosita. She is fantastic and very helpful! She is the livelihood of the property, make sure to say hello to her. She is helpful and she will spend time with you answering questions ( a lost art at hotels). Also, I want to make sure to say that Biaggi was very helpful with our bags every time we needed help. He was a super nice guy. Overall, our experience with the property was very good. I would recommend and would only stay there on my next trip to positano!
