Great location with pretty views but the staff certainly change any cheerful mood you may have once you enter hotel. The staff are not friendly, do not smile, and just look like they hate their jobs and customers.
The hotel is dated, and can use some repairs/maintenance but most importantly need to improve cleanliness of the hotel, the rooms, bathrooms and breakfast area (chairs, tables, floors). Definitely not the experience we expected.

Room tip: Good Location

My wife and I stayed here on our Honeymoon as we liked its location, the fact that it had a pool(with bar) and the pricing was right for us. We had a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again. The waiters/ bar tenders are so friendly and add to the experience. The food at the pool bar and the restaurant were terrific and having gelato in the restaurant in the lower level of the building was a great welcome home each night. The breakfast buffet was wonderful as is the staff working there. Everyone made sure to add a little bit to our day. We stayed in a junior Suite and thought it was a terrific size with a terrific view of the Mediterranean sea. We enjoyed relaxing on our patio in the morning or just before heading out for the night. The front desk staff was very helpful in arranging transportation or answering our questions. We think you'll enjoy your experience as well. We did read reviews of this hotel on Trip advisor and we were worried about some mentioning "ants" in the room. We had no ants in our room and think whoever had them, brought them into the hotel on their clothes. We believe this as while walking on via christoforo Colombo in town admiring the view, we leaned on a railing under a tree and there happened to be hundreds of ants on the railing and they found their way on our clothes. I would ignore any review mentioning ants as the hotel is clean and there just weren't any, anywhere in the hotel.

We chose Covo dei Saraceni as most of our activities involved boating, shopping and dining at a specific location and this hotel provided the best access to all of that and more. We rented a small suite with a balcony overlooking the sea and it truly exceed all expectations. This isn't the most modern updated hotel but the location, amenities and staff more than make up for the simple style of the hotel. The front desk staff, specifically Roberto, were amazing fulfilling every request, the breakfast included was truly extraordinary with an options for eggs to order at no extra charge. The pool deck and bar are absolutely the best but we didn't have much of an opportunity to use it as our stay was only a few days. The bartender Francisco was the example of true hospitality. This is my go to as we visit the Amalfi coast every few years. Be aware you cannot drive to this hotel, you have to walk from the main road and you need to schedule a porter to bring your bags from the drop off point to the hotel. You other option is to arrive by boat charter or ferry from Naples where the the dock is right outside the hotel door.

This message is to the owners. Your staff is falling far below the standards expected of a 5-star hotel. I would like to share my experience with you. As a business owner myself, I would want to know when my staff fails to treat clients with common decency. Please reach out to me, or provide me with the best way to reach you.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel from 10/5/22- 10/9/22. It is situated right on the beach in Positano. The hotel is just beautiful, lots of old world charm. The room we chose was a Junior Suite Deluxe Superior. It was stunning! Very large and spacious with beautiful high ceilings and lots of light. There is a very comfortable sitting area, an extremely comfortable king size bed and a large bathroom with a sauna, which was just so perfect after soaking in our private salt water pool on the deck. The outdoor space was spectacular. It was really 2 spaces, one a lovely garden area with lemon trees and gorgeous plants, an outdoor shower and a large dining area. The other terrace had the private pool, a smaller dining area and lots of lounges and couches to relax on and enjoy the entire view of the beach and very picturesque town of Positano. Absolutely stunning!! And the STAFF, WOW! They could not have been more accommodating. Genuine kindness was shown to us by each and every person we encountered. The accommodations came with a full breakfast each morning which offered quite a large selection of options. Again- service was top notch. There is also a roof top pool and an infinity hot tub over looking the beach which we enjoyed very much. Bar and restaurants service there was great as well. Our concierge was so welcoming and helpful; booking tours for us, offering to help with airport transfers, just every little thing. This was a perfect destination. The town itself is breathtaking and it's people will make you never want to leave.
