Beautiful hotel and close to everything. Staff is extremely attentive, and the dining facilities are excellent. They gave us great dining selections when we were going off of the Hotel property. We will definitely return. The views from the hotel are breathtaking.
We loved everything about this hotel. From the friendly staff, the breakfast and of course the views. The location was perfect for us! We love to stroll down to enjoy the views. Shops and places to eat everywhere, no need a car. To have a cappuccino, fresh squeezed oj, various pastries and a chef waiting to cook you eggs every morning and eat in an open sea view was just heaven. The staff was always glad to greet you and made us feel at home. Thank you to Katia and all her team for always willing to help us. And for Sicilia and Dimitri for preparing breakfast every morning. Seriously we are missing it all! We can't wait to go back!
Hotel Montemare was a great option. Highly recommend staying here.
My wife and I stayed here for 2 night during our Amalfi trip. The views from both the lobby and our room were stunning. The staff was extremely welcoming. The hotel also provides a great breakfast each morning.
Given how steep Positano can be, the walk from the main beach/plaza was not too difficult compared to many other options.
They have a bar/restaurant on site as well - however we did not eat there as we already had reservations elsewhere.
Nice hotel, great views (but everything in Positano has great views). Unfortunately, service was not great. My wife and I wanted a drink at their restaurant (bar wasn't open yet) but we were told if we weren't eating we had to sit in the blazing sun. If I'm spending $1000/night I think some considerations could be made. Also, asked for a late check out and was told it was 150 euros per hour for late check out. Won't be back.
outrageous behavior of staff, particulary a person called Katia. i was unlucky enough to have her as my contact when i wanted to make a reservation. She has no understanding of english (written and spoken) and most importantly of the concept of customer service and care. Impolite, unresponsive to questions, lazy.
I reserved a double deluxe room with sea view in July 2022 and was given one with partial sea view, only to know later that the difference in tarifs is huge! 2000€ for 5 nights, and the hotel is unwilling to reimburse me. just disgusting behavior even in the way she replied to the question. she is obviously uneducated and ignorant. what is worse is that no other decent person from the hotel staff replied or took over the matter even though the email adress is generic if the client wanted to ask questions.
well i guess they are a long long way from the concept of customer service we are used to in France, the Middle east and the Gulf.
