We loved everything about our 2 days stay at the Marincanto. The views are breathtaking, the pool a definitive must during July in Italy. The breakfast selection was by far the best we had in terms of quality and selection during our entire time in Italy. The service was top notch.
Just be prepared for all of the steps in Positano and call the hotel in advance and arrange for the porter to bring your luggage. You may think it is only a 15 min walk and doable but uphill in 38'C heat is gruelling.

When first arriving at this hotel we couldn't help but notice the breath taking view from the restaurant and all the pretty flowers everywhere. Then walking into our beautiful room (we stayed in a suite that fits 4 people) that had a long balcony over looking the ocean. The view was postcard worthy! Absolutely stunning. Breakfast was included in our stay and most mornings we enjoyed it on our balcony. The hotel is nicely located close to everything! On our boat tours we were able to walk down the stairs to the beach and take the boardwalk there. No need for a car. We only needed a taxi once to go to La Tagilata because the restaurant was placed high up on the mountain. The hotel is close to all the shopping as well. We did have a small issue with heat in our room when we arrived BUT Antonella was amazing and did everything in her power to make it more comfortable and tried to accommodate us in any way she could. She was the absolute BEST! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a more upscale stay. It will not disappoint!

Really special hotel in an excellent location in Positano. Excellent reception staff attended to every detail. Organised airport transfers and a trip to Pompei. Great pool with fabulous cool water (very refreshing in the heat). Atmospheric terrace for mealtimes. Great dinner and service. Breakfast buffet was varied though coffee often took some time to arrive each morning. Room was simple but adequate. Stunning views everywhere.
