During our late trip to the Ligurian coast, we checked in to Hotel Eletto for three nights. We picked up a car from Nice airport, and drove to Sanremo. The hotel offers parking in its courtyard, but from the busy road to drive in the courtyard, through a very narrow door, uphill, sharp turn, is really not easy. The hotel should warn its clients about this.
The room was typical Italian budget hotel, outdated, but with some past glorry. One can however not complain too much. Italy as a country is still living in its past glogy. And Eletto offers quite a lof of convenience besides its good location. Judging from the breakfast room, the style of the courtyard, the hotel must have had some good status once. Somehow I quite like this kind of decay and past decadence, than those sleek international chains.
As a stopover hotel, Eletto is perfect, rooms are small, but functional. Breakfast was efficient and good enough.
