I choose Hotel Caravel every time and recommend it to everyone traveling to Sorrento. Our triple room offered a balcony with views of the bay, spacious, clean, comfortable and stunning views! The staff is friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and always willing to help! At Hotel Caravel, you wake up rested in the AM to enjoy a wonderful breakfast, offering hot and cold entries with servers that can't wait to take care of you! The pool, the patio, the garden, the terraces, all great! The shuttle service was great, and Pasquale, our driver, was pleasant and actually returned to the hotel to get us as we three ladies missed the departure time by 5 minutes! Entertainment in the lounge in the evening was a great way to end the day. Walking into the heart of the city is doable with the right shoes and temperature! The Sant'Agnello area is lovely and a pleasure to explore. I could go on and on and on! The best!

Hotel Caravel has a very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and well kept. The breakfast was nice. The hotel is conveniently located near the ocean and walking distance to downtown and the train station.

Hotel is 5 mins by free bus from Sorrento. Room very nice but had to pay 4 euros per day for tea& coffee making facilities which was a bit of a waste due to time spent on trips.Breakfast excellent a wide choice of dishes but evening meal was awful most nights. One meal was chicken nuggets!!!. I can only guess that was due to financial constraints but it was insulting to dish up such poor quality meals in a 4* hotel.Staff were excellent;

Room tip: Rooms seem ok but I would not recommend it due to dinner menu.

A great hotel to use as a base for the Serrento area. The hotel is welcoming and friendly with nothing being too much trouble for the staff. We had gone to celebrate my wife's sister and her husband's Golden Wedding and after a quiet word with Angelo on the day the table was decorated, sparkling wine provided and at dinner a wonderful cake was delivered to the table making a really memorable day. The hotel was also spotlessly clean and the food, apart from a couple of main courses, and waiting staff were exemplary, making for a good holiday.
The hotels courtesy bus was useful for going to and from Serrento but the times, especially the gap between 12.00 and 16.00 was a little inconvenient but it was not too long a walk when needed.

Having never been to Serrento before and not doing our research properly we did not realise that whilst on the Mediterranean there is no seafront as we expected, the town being on top of high cliffs, and sunbathing and swimming were done from concrete jetties with a charge to use them. However there is much to see in the area and we hope to return to explore the area more.

Stayed at this lovely hotel in Oct along with sister and my two youngest sons aged 17 and 18. During our stay at the Caravel Hotel and we were blessed with beautiful weather. The hotel was wonderful, lovely food, all staff fab very friendly, helpful and made everyone welcome and very comfortable rooms. We were on the 4th floor with gorgeous mountain views which were very quiet and suited us perfectly.
Hotel’s free courtesy bus ran into Sorrento town centre and back about every 30 minutes which was great.
Would definitely stayed here again, we couldn’t fault it.

Room tip: Ask for high floor mountain view for quiet room
