Residence Carin provided a perfect base for our week of hiking in the Dolomiti. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and much bigger than I expected. We were able to un-pack and really settle in. The owners are on-site and helpful, and the sport shop is well-equipped. Great hike suggestions and recommendations as well. I would love to return.

Room Tip: Cir apartment is perfect (and very large) for 2 people. We enjoyed our balcony.

We loved our apartment stay in Selva at Residence Carin. The owners were great hosts. The apartment was near chairlifts and buses so that we could easily get to our hikes each day. And each morning, the owners would give us hike recommendations based on weather predictions. Their guidance was perfect, as each day’s hike was more beautiful than the one before. We will definitely go back to Selva and stay at Residence Carin.

This apartment was better than we ever expected. We chose the top floor apartment "Saslonch". It had a fully equiped kitchen, 2 bedrooms each with king size beds and 21/2 bathrooms! There were 3 balconies witrh wonderful panoramas of the valley. There was a large living area where an open kitchen and dining were combined with a lovely and comforable living room with a flat screen SAT HD TV. The owners were friendly and helpful.
There was also a fully functional elevator right outside our door (we were on the 4th floor, but we took the stairs to stay in shape) and a washing machine as well. Staying here in this particular community was a wonderful experience...we could walk to everything. There were many interesting shops and groceries stores. We enjoyed buying local produce and cooking in our own kitchen.. Although we did eat out the eruo kept us from eating at the more restaurants. I regret now not just biting the bullet and taking the opportunity of tasting more of the probabaly delicious local cuisine at some of these places. We did enjoy eating several meals at La Bula in Stellas Hotel right on the main street.
Selva is a small town but offered numerous events in the evenings from Austrian band concerts, to something called "long Wednesday" where several groups of traditionally dressed locals performed in the street.
We came to Selva to take advantage of the mountain hiking during the summer. Trails for day hikes were easy to access and the many mountain refuges offered remarkable food and were really mountain top restaurantrs. This is a gorgeous place and a great choice. I would return!!!

We had a great 3-night stay at this newly built apartment in Selva, which is in the town centre, but peaceful. This place was a lucky find for us, one of many on a list from the local Tourist Office. We liked Selva the most out of the 3 towns of Val Gardena.

We had a lovely 1-bedroom apartment, which was very spacious, spotlessly clean and pretty in its Tyrolean style. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. It had a pull-out couch (so it could accommodate 4 people) 2 bathrooms and a small but fully-equipped kitchen. It had everything you'd want - TV, phone, laundry facilities, hair dryer, dishwasher and wi-fi (but no computer).

The views of the Dolomites from the huge wrap-around balcony were a treat! We looked at a couple of their other units of various sizes and all were very nice.

The location was great - central, but very quiet, set up a bit from the road, so no traffic noise. There was a walking path and green hills directly behind the apartments. Parking is free in their indoor garage. There are shops and 2 grocery stores nearby.

The owners are a nice couple, who also run the sport & ski shop at streetside. The gentleman was a world cup skier and I think he still does ski instruction too.

The price of our stay here was significantly lower than the hotels and lower than many B&Bs, though we realize it was already lower season. In high season, I think a full week rental is the only option.

We would definitely stay here again and recommend it for a great stay in the Dolomites.
