The good:
========
1. Staff is friendly
2. Hotel and rooms are generally clean.

The bad:
=======
1. I reserved a room on the front of the hotel with a view onto the valley. My reservation was confirmed in writing by the hotel (I am fluent in Italian and there was no misunderstanding). On the date of my arrival I was given a room on the rear of the hotel, facing the courtyard, enclosed by surrounding houses obstructing any views of the mountains. When I complained the hotel management did nothing more than expressing regret, trying to console me that the room on the rear was "not a bad room". Given that I had paid a higher price for the room, when I booked it on-line, to have the flexibility to re-book without any cancellation fees, I would have chosen another hotel had I known that my reservation was not going to be honored. (Hence the 1 star.)

2. Breakfast is laden with sweet dishes (mainly an assortment of cakes), and severely short on salty food (cold cuts, salami) and cheeses (of which Italy is rich of).

3. During the 3 days I was there the bread at breakfast was dry and as hard as a rock.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the building have a view onto the valley and surrounding mountains. However, do not expect to get a a room on the front of the building even if they provide you with a confirmation (see my review above.)

I have stayed here a couple of times on business. Both times the Hotel has been spotless. It's well situated with lovely views of the snow topped mountains. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much bother. They speak mainly Italian and French but don't let that put you off. Breakfast is the usual continental buffet affair and Ok. You can't eat in the evening at the hotel, but there's an excellent restaurant a 100 yds up the road on the right. It has good quality food, is reasonably priced and I think the hotel owners also have something to do with it. The air conditioned rooms are of a good standard with spotless en suite toilet & shower plus a TV with Italian channels and BBC World. I believe there's a pool and spa treatments, but I have not had time to check them out. There's Internet & WiFi access in the lobby for €5/hour....but not in all the rooms. Parking is safe and undercover on site. A good value, well situated and good standard of Hotel to stay in.
