Where do I start. Angela and her family (brother and mother) treated us as part of their family from check in to check out. Their attention to details throughout the hotel warrants the 4 star rating. Hospitality is a 5 star rating. Where do you find a nonna serving breakfast and talking about family recipes? The location is perfect. The hotel is clean and our room was comfortable and spacious. We would highly recommend making the trip to a city that has not yet been over run by tourists. We felt like a local, which is hard to find in other areas of Italy. We look forward to coming back and spending more time in the area and using Hotel Rojan as our base.

What made this hotel excellent was the owner, whose name I forgot, but I think is Giancarlo. He did everything he could to ensure we had a great stay. He planed a personalized hiking itinerary for us based on the weather conditions. He was extremely helpful. The hotel is near the major shopping area of Sulmona and there are great restaurants within walking distance. I rated Hotel Rojan based on Sulmona. In Rome Hotel Rojan would not be considered excellent, but for this area of Southern Italy. I suspect you could not find a netter hotel

We had a lovely stay at this hotel at the start of our trip. It is very central and close to lots of trails in the national parks. We stayed in the suite which was spotless! We very much appreciated the local knowledge of the owners who gave us some very good hiking and driving tips. They were always available/around the front desk which was fab. Breakfast was perfect - we especially appreciated the ample coffee and tea. Do follow the email from the hotel on how to get there and where to park before you arrive. We look forward to being back!
