The Hoasy beach staff was poorly trained and short of being hostile upon our attempted entry into the Hoasy restaurant/their establishment. They stopped us at the entry area with an argumentative tone and irate mannerism. We were strongly enticed to retract our dinner reservation and did not dine at that establishment. I do not recommend this type of poor customer service as experienced by the Hoasy beach staff to anyone hoping for a tranquil sojourn in the Tirrenia area.

After making a 'prenatazione' for my father's birthday (group of 8+)we met family and friends at this beach restaurant only to be harassed and then PHYSICALLY attacked by the Beach's 'management'. The beach itself is beautiful but it is so poorly managed. I recommend you try another beach or you risk having a horrible experience.
My father was turning 65 and we were happy to meet with family and friends for a late August beach meal. We had dined at the beach's restaurant the week before on a quiet Monday night for a light meal. It was adequate with plenty of space for a large group so we booked space for my Dad's birthday. I brought along my small well behaved dog as did another friend. All my life I have NEVER encountered a restaurant in Italy that has had any issue with pets in an OUTDOOR eatery. It is normal to see dogs sitting under dining tables. It is a beautiful part of the Italian culture... how much Italians love their animals.
Unfortunately, we came head to head (literally as I will explain) with a truly drunken, animal hating, misogynist man... the so called 'proprietor'. After arriving the situation escalated quickly with us first trying to work with the owner as we had a large party arriving... and the actual restaurant (which is a space rented from the beach) had no issue with our pets. We are a group of Italian Americans fluent is both languages so there was NO language barrier or misunderstanding. After realizing there was no way to reason with the 'management' we left. I wish I could say that was that.
Instead of letting us leave, the owner began to follow us out of the establishment yelling expletives. He ranted loudly, calling the women horrible hateful names, and trying provoke the men *All 60+ years of age* into a PHYSICAL fight. I could smell the odor of alcohol seeping from the manager's skin as he sloppily pushed and lunged attempting incite a fight. He TRULY made a fool of himself. We left after the scuffle finding refuge at a beautiful PET FRIENDLY little restaurant in downtown Tirrenia.
Such a shame as the location is beautiful but I suggest you try another beach as this is NOT the place to spend your money!

Eight of us (Italians and Americans) went to the Hoasy restaurant on the beach 2 evenings ago. We all had a fish based pasta and a fish entree'. We also all had some really great desserts, an orange based Tiramisu and a semifreddo were ordered. The food was excellent and surprisingly, we only paid 25 euro a head!
