We stayed in Hotel Post Tolderhof for a second time now and we as a familly like it a lot. The rooms are cosy, well cleaned, with internet access. There is a nice pool for kids, sauna and kids area. We appreciated highly the quality and the various choice of the food. Everbody was enjoying it. Especially we found it welcoming when there was an after ski snack with homemade cakes, soups and other. Also the stuff is very professional.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing food. Nice view of the mountains. Wellness - swimming pool and various saunas. Skiing in Kronplatz is pretty good too. Overall we couldn't be more satisfied with our holidays.

The whole family liked this hotel a lot: first of all food was simply great and their waiter Herr Hubert is very kind and professional. We were really feeling welcomed. The hotel is well maintained, very clean, with Wi-Fi and all the amenities that kids and their parents need (pool, sauna, playhall,..snack after skiing,..). Also the transport to the skiing centre is well organised and close to the hotel. A must return!

We are thre years winter clients of this Hotel and have only the best experiences! Located quite well with the transport amenities just by...Teller dinner service, with an excellent presentation and highly tasteful food...friendly staff...(not to mention garage, beautiful view overlooking the Kronplatz slopes, etc.,,,)...we really like it!
Yes, there are things to be improved and slightly refurbished (pool area and saunas; lack of wi-fi in this particular areas; sometimes noisy children-but this is lack of parental behaviour, not the owner's issue; lack of Hotel's transportation direct to the slopes), but overall a Hotel deserves to be recommended. And we strongly recommend it!

The hotel:
The hotel is situated directly in the middle of the village and has very nice family atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. We are hikers and even thou we had some trails prepared before we got to the hotel, they suggested us some better variants. The hotel is really prepared for hikers so that there is even an hotel's own hiking bag prepared in the room for you to borrow it. Further on, we got pretty decent hiking map of the surrounding as a part of our check-in package.

The room:
We got the room No. 301 on the highest floor. The room is located on the south part of the hotel and has an small, covered balconny with a nice view on the Plan de Corones. Even thou the room is just next to the lift, you do not hear it at all. The room was perfectly cleaned through our whole stay.

The food:
When we got in, there was the time for the afternoon small jause which was very tasty - a tasty soup and a broad selection of house made, very tasty sweets. A nice start :). We opted in for the 5-courses evening menu which comprised salads from satad-bar, starters, soup, main dish and desert/ optionally selection of cheeses. The menu tasted as you would expect - professional and well done. What was excellent thou, were all the sweet dishes - let it be on the afternoon jause, evening menu or an the breakfast ones, everything was perfectly done and you had the feeling theat the sweet-chef likes his work and thinks how he would please his guests. If you like sweet dishes, I would consider this hotel.

The staff:
The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. We stayed for 3 nights and after the first evening, they already knew our preferencies when we got to the breakfast or dinner. When we wanted to consult our hiking destinations, they helped us with an reasonable advice and lended us better hiking maps.

The facilities:
The hotel has got a small spa and, on the check-in, we got an free tickets to the public pool in the village. As we got back from our hikes to the hotel always too late to use any of the facilities, I can not say how it operates. The hotel spa smellt very well thou.
Parking just in front of the hotel or in it's underground garage free of charge. An perfect help for hikers coming back from long trails.

The surrounding:
We got very nice and warm weather, so our hikes were beautifull.
On the arrival day, we had just a couple of hours so we went from Furkelpass to the top of Plan de Corones. It is an easy hike partially going on the ski slopes of the Plan de Corones.
Next day, we did the longest hike in our stay : round trip around the Seekofel mountain (Pragser See-Seekofelhütte-Grünwaldhütte-Pragser See). A nice but long hike - about 9 hours. So get prepared - especially take enough water or get prepared to pay for water on the Seekofelhütte.
Next day, we did the hike to the top of the Dürrenstein mountain. Again a nice one (about 5 hours in total) with beautiful outlooks. Our hotel provided us with a free card for all public transports in the area, so we used the bus from toll station down in the valley to the Plätzwiese Hütte. The only topic we had to pay attention to was the departure of the last bus back to the valley at 6:15PM. Make sure, you are on the bus stop on time as the buses depart exactly according the timetable - a kind of surprise in Italy :).
For our last day, the hotel staff convinced us to take the trip to the Drei Zinnen mountain. And again, we are thankfull for it. We took the longer trail (Auronzo Hütte-Lavaredo Hütte-Büllelejoch Pass-Drei Zinnen Hütte-Auronzo Hütte) and it was again a beautiful 6 hours.

Conclusion:
Hikers friendly hotel not only from the description but the hiking spirit is lived there. Clean and quiet rooms, excellent sweet food. We are very satisfied with the hotel and we would recommend it to our friends.
