We recently had a stay at this hotel, which is advertised as having a 4-star rating (how is that even possible???) and good reviews.
Outdated Facilities: The hotel is extremely old and clearly in need of significant renovations.
Unpleasant Odor: There was a strong, unpleasant smell throughout the hotel, including our room, which made our stay very uncomfortable.
Lack of Cleanliness: The cleanliness was below standard.
Bathroom Mold: The bathroom had mold everywhere, which is unacceptable and unhygienic.
Dirty Corridors: The carpeted corridor was not vacuumed even once during our 3-day stay and was full of crumbs, threads, and other debris.
Breakfast: The breakfast lacked hot food options, though there were some items available to eat.
Mini Bar Charges: The minibar included two bottles of water, two beers, and two cans of Coca-Cola, with no prices listed. This usually suggests the items are complimentary, but we were charged 1.50 EUR for a small bottle of water upon checkout.
Double Payment Issue: If you book through Booking.com (which guarantees the room rate), be aware that the hotel might charge you again upon check out. Make sure you have extra money available as your Booking.com payment may be held and you’ll need to pay the hotel directly.
This hotel is suitable only for the most undemanding guests.
We have traveled to Italy multiple times and stayed in various, much cheaper hotels, but this was by far the worst experience we've had.
On the positive side, the hotel has a good location, friendly staff, and offers parking for 15 EUR per day.
Given these issues, it’s hard to believe that this hotel has managed to maintain a 4-star rating. We recommend it only for those who absolutely need a pool; otherwise, we suggest avoiding this hotel.
