We visited Center Parc on mass; husband, daughter, her husband and 3 Grandkids! We had booked one of the executive lodges in Marple.. advised on the website, newly refurbished. The lodge layout and design makes the most of the space, good size bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The kitchen is a little small, and the fridge is definitely too small for a weeks worth of food for 7 people; plus there is only a small ice box, not a full freezer!
The outdoor space is wonderful- my grandkids loved how friendly the ducks and squirrels were, often coming up to the patio doors! Being surrounded by the woods, it really gives a sense of “being away from it all”. The “brick” BBQ - you are only allowed to use instant disposable BBQ’s on them!

The actual site, is well cared for, there are too many activities to mention in detail; but I would recommend picking maybe one a day, as the cost does mount up! All the parc Rangers we encountered were friendly and helpful!

We didn’t eat out, as it’s so expensive; but we did enjoy a daily ice cream from the shop (which are fantastic) . The beach area and parks are super to let the kids run wild and have fun! The pool is going through some major upgrade work, but it’s all open (June 2018) , slides were fun and it’s a great way to loose a few hours!

In summary- we all had a brilliant week; the kids had fun, we adults managed to relax and enjoy ourselves and to be honest not using a car for a week was a real treat!

Photos from the back of our lodge!

We all said we would go again, as we enjoyed it so much!

A lovely long weekend away with family. Really good service, staff are as friendly as ever and always happy to help and chat. Did the wildlife walk with Kate last night, not a huge amount of wildlife out But Gary Barlow was in concert at Sherwood Pines and may have scared them away. Thank you CP.

What a great week we have had. There loads of activities to take part in. We hired bikes and went bike riding, although if you have a comfortable seat cover it might be worth bringing! There's also a great swimming pool with a fee slides and some wild rapids which are great. Don't forget you need a pound for the lockers.

It was lovely sitting outside he lodge at night near the lake. However there are lots of midges so be sure to bring some fly spray or a citronella candle.

There's a great variety of food on offer, be sure to bring plenty of spending money so you can do lots of things.

There even a great spa on site if you wish to have a pamper day!!.

Since having a 3 year old we have come to center parcs every year and it doesn't disappoint. This trip we had a 5 month old with us.

We stayed in a woodland lodge and pay a bit extra to have a cabin near the center. This is a must if you don't want bikes and/or have a pushchair. Also the walk isn't too long for little legs, our three year old could walk it several times a day with ease. The lodge is perfect for a family. We were able to get two bed guards for our son for no extra cost which was great. The cot provided in the room was perfect for our 5month old. The shower in the bath is a bit small, quite a low ceiling so anyone over 6ft may find it a bit of a squeeze. I do feel that the lodge floor/carpet and rugs could do with a proper clean.

We go on the pool everyday and it's great. Always warm and plenty of baby changing rooms which is brillant. We can't wait for the improvements especially for the toddler pool. It was great having the baby pens dotted around, our 5 month old had many naps in these.

We also spent some time at the beach which my son loved. We paid for one activity, balance bike. My son was given one for his birthday and I must say this class helped build his confidence a lot.

We ate in Hucks and the Sport cafe, both had tasty food, clean tables and play areas. I prefer the soft play at the sports cafe as it's open while the play area at Hucks is quite covered so it became hard to keep track of my 3 year old.

Overall it's a great place to spend a few days especially if you want a swimming pool.

Have visited before with my wife before we had our two kids. We were impressed then, now it’s a family experience with both of our kids, enjoying the facilities and all the activities and amenities available. Can recommend the place enough.
