We had the “menu découverte” €16

Starter: We tried the Foie Gras and the Salade Périgourdine. The duck was over cook and the dish didn’t look very nice (maybe some cherry tomatoes could bright up the dish)

Main: we had the Entrecôte and the magret de canard. The potatoes were really nice and so the entrecôte.

Dessert: we had crème brûlée and ice cream (2 scoops- that normally cost 6€!) that was nice.

Basically the food was nothing special / the restaurant was ok

I won’t go back there

The steak is more than half fat and parts that can’t be eaten. The chocolate fondue was ok. Service is slow. Ended up going to the burger place which is close by.

Pick a set menu our was €18 each and provided 4 courses. Good choice of typical local dishes such as confit de canard cassoulete, magret de Canart, steak and 1 fish dish also. Down stairs atmosphere is nice. Was busy even in Sept. so I would book if you plan to go in August.

We visited for dinner with a family group including 4 kids. Food was average. Staff friendly. Service slow though. We sat upstairs but there was no air con and it was boiling. By the time the kids meals arrived they were almost comatose. Probably better on a quieter day.

We were starting to get hungry and nervous that we would never find a place to accommodate our large group of 13 for diner. We lucked out as it was still relatively early for diner according to French standards and got seated on the 1st floor of Restaurant Le Tourny. They put together a large table for 14 people. Most of us took the $16 menu. Slice of foie gras with Montbazillac jelly, duck confit, coq-au-vin, salardaise potatoes, cream carrots, small goat cheese cabecou with salad and a great selection of desert. Servings were perfect. The staff was extremely energetic and nice. By the time we had our main course, the restaurant was packed on all floors. The only negative note was the cigarette smell, few times, from outdoor guests who were smoking. Thankfully there was plenty of wind which dissipated the smell fast. Leaving in the US where smoking is banned everwhere, we are probably a little sensitive! Highly recommend restaurant for the quality of food, the value and the staff!
