We absolutely loved this colorful square lined with architecture hundreds of years old but perfectly curated and coordinated with bright colors. It was a very cool surprise to stumble into this.

The old town was tiny, the place had many old buildings but the exterior paint work confused me, they looked like some fake movie setting. Especially in this little square.

Very near to the centre of vannes. Walking through the old lanes with beautiful midevial age houses make the experience more enriched. The colorful houses looks magnificent!

Place Henri IV is near the centre of this wonderful old Breton town .We stayed 2 days and this was about right for out of season. Place is an excellent focus point for walking around Town and has a range of interesting shops and nearby restaurants.
Do visit on Saturdays when the lanes just below are full of wonderful stalls and many people, worth avist for this alone.

Nick.

As shown in this picture, Place Henry IV is a true miror of the old times. "Ancient elegance", I would define it.
