The Ibis Lille Roubaix Centre is, as the name implies, close to Roubaix centre. There are tram & metro services close by. Friendly, helpful staff. Our room was clean & well maintained. The public areas were also clean & well maintained. Car park beneath the hotel. The restaurant & bar reasonably priced.

If id known what Roubaix was like I would never have booked this hotel.

Lille is 10 mins away and much nicer. Roubaix is poor and felt a little threatening at times. Few places to eat either.

The Roubaix ibis to be fair though was good value for money and did the job, that said I would not return. We cancelled night 2 and drove to Lille.

Stayed here for 2 nights earlier this week. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the metro & tram (it takes about 20 mins on the metro and about 30 on the tram). Just turn left from the tram etc and walk straight and you come to the hotel.

The Ibis is functional rather than charming and is typical of the Accor group of hotels. My 5th floor medium sized room (528) was very quiet, hardly any traffic noise from the main road below, and the hotel in general was very quiet, at least until people begin to move around in the morning at 7am or so. The plumbing clancked a bit! It was well heated, with additional in room heat & cooling available if needed. The room was very clean with a very comfortable bed, and wonderful pillows. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the reception area is fairly welcoming. Can't comment on the breakfast but had nice coffee and brandy in the bar area. Limited beers available.

This is a good alternative to staying in central Lille. It's cheaper and Roubaix is a quiet and safe enough place although there is not much to do here. There is a designer shopping centre and almost opposite there is a good shopping centre with a decent sized supermarket. Plenty of places to eat. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
