A good budget hotel in the centre of Roubaix, close to the Grand Place, Outlet Village and Metro station. Hotel has an underground car park too. We tried to use the restaurant but, due to a large school group staying at the hotel, they could only offer room service. There were restaurants nearby so we opted for that instead. Breakfast was okay, the usual offerings of cereals, breads, croissanst etc. Our room was fine - well presented and clean.

Ibis is good for being a really cheap hotel. The rooms was a bit worn down but everything was in working order. The staff and restaurant is the best part of this place - the staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious!

Receptionist not at the desk most of the time.
Waiting for over 10 minutes to get let into the underground car park. Had to then go into the hotel to get them to push the button to open the gate.
Breakfast is awful. Yogurts that aren't even chilled.
Nothing hot at all but nothing quite cold either. Abit strange. Won't be having breakfast here again.

Beds are comfy. Room is a weird layout and shape. Bit small but it's ok for one person.

Air-con (I don't actually think it's air-con)... Hasn't managed to chill the room. Still unbelieveably hot.

Free Wifi works very well. Can't imagine it's necessary to upgrade to the paying one.

Also don't use the car park if your car is particular low. I'm drinking a golf and can hear my bumper scraping on the ramp even when I'm going down it very slowly.

Very good location, reasonable room, a little smelly and all very, very typical Ibis hotel. Receptionist spoke English well enough to do a proper check in. At check out the receptionist tried to charge us a second time (the hotel was paid at booking), which I would call an honest mistake if it was not because it happens 1 out of 3 times on Ibis hotels.

Initially I was going to say stay away but at the end of the stay I'd softened a little. This is only because of the staff. The building is poor, the rooms are small and tired. No AC in the rooms,no air extraction in the bathroom making it either stuffy or noisy if you open the windows. I know the times of all the trams in the evening now as they're literally outside the window. The beds were surprisingly comfortable though.
I didn't have dinner but breakfast was pastry and yoghurt based. Cereals were available but the only hot items were toast and diy boiled eggs .
The staff however were excellent and always very helpful. Not all spoke English but we got through on sign language. I was there for a cycling event and heard no complaints concerning bikes or equipment being in the bedrooms or held in their storeroom. I wouldn't recommend this for anything more than bed and breakfast and wild definitely try somewhere else if I venture back to Roubaix again.
