We had diner on the terrace. Nice fresh soup and good mussels. The crepes we had for desert were not that good but overall was it a nice diner. The cats on the balcony/roof at the other side of the road were very amusing

No love for what they do, surprised the locals come here, maybe because, in typical small town French style, opening times and days are so limited there isn’t much of a choice.

We ordered the entrecôte which was a horrendous piece of fat strewn meat with packaged fries as a side. My wife hardly ate hers and the waiter didn’t even ask why. Price 20 euros with sauce (that added another 2).

Other options have the usual Normandy cream added (fish, pastas, etc). We saw plenty of locals eating the petite moules typical of the region that are hard to screw up.

Lovely mussels and French fries. Both had the fish soup first which was delicious, but a little expensive maybe. Crème brulee was good at the end.

Great service from the team. Enjoyed a simple meal.

We came back to eat in downtown Cabourg for a third night and chose L'Embarcadère.

This restaurant was full when we got there around 8.30. There was extensive choice on the menu, beef, fish, pasta and pizza.

Our family made full use of the varied menu. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was initially attentive.

The waiters were friendly and spoke good English and an English menu was also available .

The set 3 course meal was good value priced at 19 euros.

The food was OK. Maybe the unique flavours were not exactly to our tastes, but I am sure that they will be to the tastes of others.

The service was fast but it took time to get our main courses after our starters - and an absolute age to get and pay our bill!

We visited this restaurant on the busiest week of the year in France.
Service was good even though the restaurant was full. We had the set menu. I had mussels as first course they were excellent. We both enjoyed our meal. This is also good for families.
