Firstly we were greeted by the lovely Celine with the widest smile in the French Alps and the best attitude. She managed to secure a table for two facing the slopes and in the full sun - just the way we like it. A chilled glass of rose and a pression of draft beer started us off and we basked in the sun and watched the skiers and boarders glide past on the beautiful pistes of the Chavannes. A thin base pizza with just the right amount of crispiness and plenty of cheese and a huge fluffy omelette served the Savoyard way with potatoes and a green salad and bread (of course) helped to ease the hunger pangs and we decided on a cheeky dessert - rum and raisin ice-cream with a shot of white rum, which was delicious.
All in all a great meal in a great setting with great staff. Well worth a visit but make a reservation if you can as it is very popular.
