We stayed in an apartment for 6 and are a family of 4 with 2 teenage children. The size of the apartment was perfect and we had a separate shower room, bathroom and 1 toilet. The bed in the main bedroom was firm but that is how we like it so was good for us. The twin room beds are only small and our older daughter complained they were not that comfortable, Our younger daughter choose to sleep in the living room on the pull out bed and she said that that was much more comfortable and was of a larger size. There is also a lot of storage in these apartments, which is a little unusual for ski accommodation. The only problem we had with the accommodation is that it wasn't very clean when we arrived. A lot of the crockery was dirty but we did find that the dishwasher wasn't very effective. The walls are also in desperate need of a paint as our daughter complained about the blood and bogeys on the wall near her bed. The shower also needs some maintenance. But this didn't spoil our stay as we cleaned things as we found them and felt that we left the apartment much cleaner than we found it.
The ski bus that serves the apartments is excellent and runs continuously throughout the day. Sometimes it is full at the bottom but you don't have to wait long for its return I think that there are 2 buses running most of the time. The buses also make regular stops close to all the apartment blocks in the area.
Valloire is a lovely village with lots of nice restaurants and a few shops. The supermarkets are also well stocked for people choosing to self cater.

We stayed in one bedroom apartment!(one of the seven buildings). The swimming pool is located in the main building. The resort bus is running since 8.00 am. Sherpa shop (grocery shop) is located at the bottom of the hill. Same as ski rental shop and gondola. There are nice traditional restaurants in the resort. On Fridays in the centre of town is The market (lots of traditional food).

I stayed there in the third week of January. The apartments were very nice. Excellent bus service, which is a necessity as the apartments are at the top of a steep hill, but it only runs until 7.30pm.
First impressions were that our apartment was stinking of smoke despite being no smoking apartments. Other than handing us a tin of airfreshner, the manager wasn't prepared to do anything about it. It was so bad we couldn't sit in the lounge/ kitchen area.Fortunately for us the bedrooms were smoke free. Basically the management had our money and didn't care. They said that a lot of there apartments were the same and people were smoking in them. You will be fined for smoking in them but you will not be given compensation for having to stay in one....at best you'll be given a tin if airfreshner and be expected to do their job for them! Can't stress enough how horrible it was and completely ruined our stay.
On the other hand Valloire was as beautiful as ever....

The resort was great with lots of space and things to do - ie GYM, Swimming Squash
Had a wondefull time - the snow was great and the village and people were fantastic

I booked and paid for a room for 6 people. There were 3 comfortable chairs in the lounge - ie one 3 seater sofa bed.
The details of the hotel on Expedia are misleading (or they were when I booked). The details have been changed on Expedia since I booked.
A jacuzzi and swimming pool were advertised by Expedia. No charge was mentioned by expedia for use of the jacuzzi. When I arrived I was told that use of the jacuzzi costs €6 per 20 minutes per person and must be booked in advance.
The swimming pool is cold and so is the spa room.
The jacuzzi and swimming pool are in an apartment block down the road from most of the apartment blocks that you may be assigned to.
There was no mention of a fee for cleaning the apartment on the Expedia website. If you chose to not clean the apartment to perfection, you will be charged €52 if there are fewer than 4 people in your apartment, if there are 4 or more people in your apartment you will be charged €100. Even if you chose to pay and not clean the apartment, you will have to clean the bin, wash and arrange the dishes and sort out the bed linen.
The route to the apartment was covered in snow, and rather than clearing the snow, the staff barricade the pathway using wooden pallets and nails so you cannot use it. I chose to ignore the staff member who was blocking the path and he shoved me back down the snowy path that I had climbed.
    Appalling attitude.
I am refering to the "Les Hameaux et Chalets de la Vallee d'Or" apartments that are owned by Odalys. Pierre en Vacances also own apartments called "Les Hameaux et Chalets de la Vallee d'Or" located on the same road, and these are cheaper, more modern and they will not expect you to clean the apartment. The staff member I spoke to was polite and I would recommend you go to them.

Room Tip: go to Pierre en Vacances for the nicer chalets in same location, also called "les hameaux et chalets de la vallee d'or".
