I have had fried snapper from around the island and US and other countries, but never before have I wanted to savoir every scrap including my fingers. Best fried fish ever. The serving size is large and I love that I could have it with a salad. I love the rustic feel of the place, but it could do with being screened in to avoid unwanted insects. Love the outdoorsy feel. So island flavored. Never mind it looks like a shack. You'll love the relaxing atmosphere, and the friendly staff.

Be sure to take bug spray! This restaurant offers great food at a great price with local ambiance (looks like a dive, but worth the stop!). Serving sizes very reasonable, all meals were great! Not open for lunch, or we would have frequented it more. Because it's not on the main drag, it's a little harder to find, but keep looking - you won't be disappointed :-). It's on the north side of the main north/south cut through on the east side of the island, and there's a bar attached (sort of). The bar can get noisy, but we didn't find it to be too distracting; the music was fun.

People don't remember the shack or the awning or, if you visit Kurt's at the wrong time of early evening, the mosquitos. What they remember is tremendous Caymanian food at bargain prices - and the portions are large. We take-away from Kurt's Korner regularly since it is 5 minutes down the road and is open on Sunday evenings when we have typically run out of weekend fodder in the fridge. Of course, if you arrive on a late flight on Saturday, then Kurt's is a great place to get food on Sunday before the supermarkets re-open on Monday - it won't cost you an arm and a leg to eat well.

Pretty much the only place to have dinner in Old Man Bay at advanced hours of evening. Prices are very good and food is not bad either. Don't pay attention to scrangy look of it or the guys that hang around a nearby club (they are very friendly).

Terrific food in a very hidden space, just south on the Frank Sound Rd from the main highway to Rum Pointe. Great food (loved the coconut curry fish!!) and service. Beer available from the bar next door. You have to look for Kurt's but it is very much worth the search.
