Really welcoming friendly staff.
Amazing Sunday roast. Beef and pork cooked perfectly. roast potatoes and great choice of veg. Best gravy ever. Crunchy crackling. Parsnip shavings. During the summer they have a carvery in evenings.
We also ate here one evening, had the fishcakes and calamari followed by pie and burger.
Tribute ale and rattler cyder.
All excellent.

I actually went back last week for the first time since the new managers, Lisa and Dan, took it over but that was for a drink and really enjoyed it.

I've been a regular visitor since the late 80's.

So returned today with my youngest son for a carvery and it was fantastic. y son had pork and gammon whilst i had the beef and we had sticky toffee pudding to finish, absolutely fantastic!!

After a morning of Karting in St Eval a short drive of 4-5 miles to St Merryn to Farmers Arms. Currently doing food all day. But I would check in case. We were after 14.30.

Had to wait a good twenty-thirty minutes but worth it. Three big pieces of fish and decent slice of pie. All with chunky chips and peas. Plenty to eat. All coming to just over £60.

Afterwards Bearman allowed us to play pool even though boys under 16. The kind of customer service you want.

Excellent.
