Gorgeous hotel in small hamlet. We were received by very friendly staff and seated in front of a massive fireplace whilst enjoying a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a nice selection of cuts and sweets was waiting for all guests to enjoy in the afternoon. In the meantime, our luggage was brought to our room. The room was so special, a nice maisonette with a beautiful seating and large stove. The bathroom was spacious and luxurious and the toilet was separate. Small circling wooden stairs brought us to the bedroom where a large bed with crispy linen was of great comfort. The window offered fresh air into the room for a good night sleep. Unfortunately, the Sauna was not working which I think we should have been informed about. The dining room is pleasant and cosy seating is arranged for. Large trophy's are hanging around you and some are of impressive size. The food and menu was however disappointing. No local dishes or dishes relevant to the season. Surprisingly not even any game on the menu. Sure it might have been early season but that could be explained as a reason for not having fresh game, not for not having game at all. Unfortunately the steaks they show on the showing panel in the mid of the the restaurant is not the steak they served and of a minor quality, disappointing.
After a great sleep the breakfast was wonderful, the room a delight full of little niches and ceiling paintings. The buffet is over the top and of very good quality and there isn't a thing or they could provide for it. Superb! They however have to really do a survey under their guests to ensure the music choice is corrected as the current music is rather distracting from the excellent food.
The service is superb, knowledgeable and willing to make this the best stay ever.
Surely a hotel to recommend.
