This experience was fabulous. The owners of this castle treat you wonderfully. The food is a delicious treat. A dinner was included with our room and the selection was tasty. I would highly recommend it to everyone traveling in the area.

What a wonderful destination. Everything about Schoenburg is perfect, the staff, the rooms the food. All a delight.

The beauty of the castle is second to none.

We stayed just a single night, our group had rooms 32 and 33. Both were outstanding with wonderful views and you felt like you stepped back 300+ years into time.

Our dinner and breakfast both were incredible!

The room, the food, the service, the amazing view, and the snow all combined for a fantastic 24 hours. Auf Schoenberg is not a Hotel, it is an experience. Our stay could not have been better, especially when we woke up to see the landscape and hotel covered in snow.

Beautiful grounds with a lovely view. Feel like you stepped back into medieval times with the comfort of today. We stayed in room 23 — although you have to walk up a flight of stairs it’s well worth it. Top of a turret, with the best view of the castle and oberwesel below from the small balcony. Cozy, romantic, wood-paneled room with a platform bed and giant bathtub. Service was awesome. The complimentary sherry a nice touch.

I gave this place the the title spectacular as I could not find another word to describe everything. The food, the room, the view, the gardens, the staff. My wife and I stayed here for our 32nd wedding anniversary and could not wish for a more romantic place. Upon arriving we were mesmerised, all of the staff were freindly, professional and spoke excellant English - nothing was to much trouble. The young lady that showed us to our room was very knowledgeable and courteous pointing out all features and complimentary items. For dinner we opted for the four course meal and was not disappointed at all, when arriving for dinner we were pleasantly surprised with our table nestled in a little nook strewn with fresh rose petals. Again the wait staff were very professional and diligent, not in your face but would appear before you required something. Breakfast was also excellent with the only flaw being another guest was asked if they would like cappuccino and we were only offered brewed coffee, we were also not sure if the Prosseco in the ice bucket was on offer or not (nice to be asked). Castle Schoenburg will be remembered by us for many years and will be a place most definitely we will return to when in Germany again.
